Losi JRX Pro SE Racer build
There seems to be a lot of SE builds lately, and here comes another. I was inspired by RogueIV's modern SE car. I decided that I wanted to build a modern SE myself. It will sport both vintage and modern upgrades and modern electronics. I'm starting with a pristine chassis. Very minimal shelf wear. T...

Re: Basement JRXT revival
Since last post I have made baby steps on the JRXT revival. The truck is apart! The hinge pins weren't moving with a hammer and punch until some of that embedded grit got out of there and the parts were warm/pliable. The ultrasonic cleaner has been run multiple cycles on everything with Dawn and hot...

Re: POS Runner of the Month - March 2025
You guys made me realize that your idea of a heap and mine may differ...
Kyosho Pro XRT with some Nitro Pro arms. CAM motor, Tekin Sport ESC and a FlySky AFHDS receiver cobbled to a Kyosho 432 PT. The truck is setup to run carpet.

Re: My take on the Dec 1987 RCCA Project Optima truck
The Tecnacraft wheels have proved next to impossible to find. Marwan make reproductions of the square-block tires but I've not had much luck with the Tecnaraft wheels or any others that look like original Cragar wheels. In keeping with an 80's truck look, following is the best that I've come up with...

Re: Losi JRX Pro SE build
Shocks built using SRS cartridges and MIP internals. The internals are held in by a snap ring.
I'm not sure on shock spring color. I had sourced front and rear shock sprinks in black, for a cleaner look. However colored springs just seem to suite an SE.

Re: Losi JRX Pro SE build
Wheels are mounted. I have the good fortune to have a new set of black & white Losi logo wheels. I love these wheels in white, however I have been wanting to use these black wheels/tires for a long time. After mounting them, I think some red logo wheels would be a great fit, lol. I did a quick p...

Re: Losi JRX Pro SE build
The body I will be using is this Protoform 1503 "Ripper" It's specific to the SE. I like the look of the large central air scoops, especially the upper one. I think I will cut it out to make it functional. These Jammin wing cam locs are some uber rare pieces. I think they would be a great ...

Re: Losi JRX Pro SE build
Body is cut and fitted. The rear end is a very tight fit to the motor and spur. As soon as I can find my container with all my wings, everything can be prepped for paint and decals. Then it should just be a quick 10 year wait until I get it painted.

Re: Losi JRX Pro SE Racer build
I have been dragging my feet in getting this build done. Part of the reason has been the inability to find front TLR Gen 3 shocks. Every place has been out of stock for awhile. I guess all of the TLR resources are going into designing the 22 6.0. Fortunately I pieced everything together by usi...

Re: Double X CR modern racer
Haven't updated in a while... kinda regretting not going to Hoosier about now. Still running the XX CR regularly, the DPRC T plate has been running flawlessly, really liking the 2.61 tranny in the buggy. Added a BK front tower, battery strap, threaded shocks and that's it so far.

Jammin' Jay Basher Build
Looking at the pictures of the his 1985 championship RC10, it always seemed to me that it was in kind of rough condition compared to how later championship buggies looked. That makes me feel like a Halsey tribute buggy should be less of a shelter. I've been collecting parts for a few years (started ...

Re: Losi Double XT CR Modern Racer
I know this forum isn't very race oriented, however this may help others that are vintage racing- We used to do this in the 2010 range to Proline Holeshot M3 tires. Diesel was the sauce of choice but the rubber would swell so much that the tire would be clapped out in three runs. Diesel isn't the sa...

Fan RC FR-01 Worlds RC10 Blue kit
I recently bought and built this Fan RC FR-01 Blue Version kit. I added the Fan RC forged carbon chassis, towers, transmission brace, and battery brace. I also added a Jconcepts motor plate. Besides the above upgrades, I built the kit basically stock. I swapped just a few pieces of hardware for alum...
