Re: Making a carbon fiber chassis the beginner way (part2)
First trim and weigh IMG_2153.jpeg Looks like this is a bit over built. At 5.7 oz it’s the same as the stock t2 aluminum chassis. It feels quite sturdy. Note: I targeted 3.0 mm since that was the rc10 graphite thickness. The tub shape must be thinner to allow proper nose piece mounting. Note: Discov...

Hello from the southcoast of Massachusetts
My name is Ryan, long time lurker first time poster :D I've had r/c since a kid like many of us and my first was a tyco turbo hopper which I still have somewhere which lead to buying a Traxxas Stampede from a classmate for 10 dollars in middle school which was around 1997, a nitro stampede from the ...

Re: ID this RC10T
That high of ratio ehh? I was thinking around 21-22t. It’s. Reedy radon 15t motor The original 10T has a 2.25:1 transmission ratio, while newer trucks have 2.4 or 2.6 ratios. So you can't directly compare the pinion size to that of newer trucks. As a general baseline, something in the 10-11:1 overa...

Re: RC10T2 Ebay score
You can remove the existing mount and use a puretech Velcro strap. It’s backed with adhesive so it can be used without drilling the chassis or slimming down the battery mount That's the ticket! I was not going to be modifying any of the factory parts or drilling the chassis so this is freakin aweso...

Re: Scr8p's Worlds Rere #8 - Jconcepts Goodies - 2023 Spring INS race l
So last weekend I went to the Jconcepts INS race at Adrenaline R/C Raceway in Winchester, VA. I raced this in the 17.5 Independent class. The car worked pretty well. I tried some different setups.... mainly tire and spring changes, but by the time the mains came around on Sunday I was back to where ...

Re: Big Bear Resurrection
Don't glue them together, it will make them stiff in the middle.

Hello from Texas
Hi everyone, currently live in Austin, Texas. Recently got into vintage collecting. Picking up all the cars that I used to have from the late 80’s and through the 90’s when I got into racing.

Hello everyone,
Thank you for my admission to the forum.
I have been using RC car for a long time. I am particularly a fan of 1/24 scale models (Tamtech, ABCHobby...) and i've just bought a vintage RC10 that i intend to restore.
I am French from Paris.

Re: Big Bear Resurrection
Awesome find. That was one of my favorite RC's back when I was a kid. I still remember taking the snowblower and clearing/making a "track" in the yard to run mine on back in the day. Had to be 30-35yrs or so ago but such fond memories of the Big Bear 8) Looks like the foams fixed the flat ...

I agree, I don't see any value in these markings. They make no sense to me.
