Re: What RC Videos Do You Like On Youtube?
All the Gene Husting's R/C Car Racing Videos that RC Wonder Years has up. I do believe they are all there. I can’t recall which volume or year it is but there is even one where Gene takes you on a really great tour of the Associated factory. That is a serious amount of footage. I watched a bit of t...

Re: Forum News & Discussion
I didn't want to say anything, but I was thinking it was definitely a DKIM or DMARC issue obviously! its easy to blame DKIM but I think you will find this goes back to NKOTB, perhaps even back to KLF You two are a couple of characters... I just can't tell from which movie :P https://pisces.bb...

Re: 1/10 Scale On-Road - Chassis Options in 2024
Quick 'n Dirty... 'cause monster trucks need liveries!
The Monster DEW:
Bummer on the 'vette wheelbases, but at least the chassis/shaft to shorten it aren't expensive if you decided to.

Re: 1/10 Scale On-Road - Chassis Options in 2024
That's a whole lot of pink. Reminds me of watermelon flavored Bubble Yum more than Mountain Dew
Could see the USA-1 being a better match. The extra height and all. Looks cool on the chassis... even when it doesn't have the snazzy graphics

Mcallister Racing Ads
Mcallister Racing was started by Gary and Cathie Mcallister in 1984. They sold the company to Ross and Becky May in 2018 who continue to produce bodies and accessories for oval and on-road vehicles. The ad from 1989 featured Mcallisters MX-1 Outlaw Stocker, a 1/10 scale on-road race car released in ...

Re: just had to have this body, but have no info on it HELP!
Third gen Camaro dirt oval body. Paint job is a replica of the 1986 Helen Rae Daytona 500 car.
An estimated guess is the livery roughly dates the time it was built, narrowing the chassis possibilities slightly, etc.

Re: Were there any changes from 7444 to 9824?
#7444 is the standard composite tower that came on T4's. #7445 is the carbon tower that came on the FT T4's. #9824 is the soft plastic tower that came on SC10's. Kind of a Goldilocks, soft, medium, hard arrangement with the #9824 equal to RPM plastic, #7444 standard Associated plastic, then #7445 ob...

Re: Spray Paint types for Lexan
I'm not sure how well automotive paint will bond to Lexan. Bonds fine... some brands just doesn't hold up to abuse as well. When we were in school all our Lexan bodies were shot with automotive paint because it was cheaper and more readily available. What makes Tamiya PS a "lexan paint" i...

Re: Yokomo turnbuckle shaft size?
The Yokomo ones I've purchased have all been 3mm I've also used lunsford ones which are 4-40 which is broadly the same when it comes to screwing into ball joints. I saw Techno listing their turnbuckles as 4mm then the thread as 3mm and wondered if Yokomo was doing the same thing. :? Other possibili...
