Re: Thoughts on the Re-Release Movement in RC
AE should be commended on letting folks relive their childhood. You can now pour over pictures of your favorite kit and say, "That thing is awesome, man I wish I had the money", just like when you were a kid ! Unfortunately I think they're just releasing cheap Chinese junk to protect their...

Re: New Off Topic RC Project - Nickel Plating turnbuckles
Friction surfing sounds interesting. Not much is popping up on a web search. Do you have anything written you can point me to? You can google "Brass Plating With A Wire Wheel" and find some forum posts or the same term in Youtube and get videos like these: PrxJ0QEhZFE xka4GMMyQGg I1o5PNHL...

Re: New Off Topic RC Project - Nickel Plating turnbuckles
Didn't Heisenberg say that... once.

You've been gaining ground on your carbon fiber chassis'... nickel plate the cloth then mold the chassis and have the first "Nickel Plated Graphite Classic Clear Edition" ...Associated NPGCC???

https://www.ebay.com/itm/203188929632
$95 (£70?) plus shipping... he's in China so, should be able to order from eBay.com using your eBay.co.uk login but can always message Dhawk for more info.

Re: Tamiya Buggy Champ - 2009 Reissue Rough Rider
Didn't know if I was going to be able to get through this masking job. Definitely the hardest I've attempted yet. The hardest part of all of this, for me, is the top behind the driver, where the black pen marks are, that radius and fit overall about made me give up. Going to let this sit and look i...

Re: Kinwald Mirage SS Body - Scribe Lines
Not having cut lines was common back in the day. Especially with how many bodies were intended to fit multiple applications. Only trick is having good judgement... Which is why so many bodies are cut up like deranged school projects.

Re: Shower door issue
Halgar hit the nail on the head with the weep holes in the door channel... but those large openings in the shower base are drains for releasing water from behind the shower wall panel, not for door drainage. Nabbed a few pics off the web so you can see the kinds of holes in the frame you should be l...

Re: Complete Pictorial Timeline Of Novak Electronics
The question I have about the RACER is, is this a early RACER EX? Yes. Novak regularly used previous model cases/labels with additional stickers on them during running changes until their supply was exhausted. The only difference between the Racer and the Racer EX was the latter came with Hyperfets...

Re: Complete Pictorial Timeline Of Novak Electronics
It’s funny ya brought up the cases because the RACER, HAMMER PRO, RACER EX, and DUALLY all used the same case and heatsinks 👍 I know some of the history but still learning. RC10talk has helped a lot. This is the mini catalog and insert with the pics and the pic below is esc I’ve been trying to find...

Tamiya F103
In 1993 Tamiya let out on track their latest 1/10 2wd electric Formula One race car, the F103. Evolving from the F102 released the year prior Tamiya's newest F1 weapon featured a significant number of revisions over its older brother. The chassis, still constructed of black fiberglass reinforced fib...

Re: Body for Kyosho Outlaw Rampage Pro restoration
There's also a Proline/Protoform '99 Silverado style, single cab, rear tower body for the GT on eBay, if I come across it again I'll post the picture. Took me long enough, but... I found it: www.ebay.com/itm/134161117961 RC10GT Body For Sale.jpg Looking at the quality, and the fact that the seller ...
