Sometimes it’s a lot of effort
Sometimes you get a mediocre result with a lot of cost and effort. IMG_3676.jpeg The bulk head brace is good. Some voids but ok, the battery cover… the pressure was too low and the moisture was too high. Also unfortunately the mold looks like it got some edge damage. Still decent results . At least ...

Re: MRP Drag'n Master Ad
I remember it all because I was there! :D I was a major fan, and my parents would bring me to the monster truck and pulling shows frequently in the '80s to early '90s. I had the magazines, posters, toys, video games, VHS videos, etc... There was even a cartoon called Bigfoot and the Muscle Machines....

Re: 1/10 Scale On-Road - Chassis Options in 2024
Got the Team Associated Apex2 Hoonitruck today. https://i.imgur.com/Cpcn9px.jpg It was still sealed, never opened. The Team Associated Clearance seller on eBay is selling damaged box items at nearly half-off. https://i.imgur.com/BqEItY4.jpg The outside of my box was a bit damaged, and the car broke ...

Re: Schumacher Storm Ad
I like this one, too.
Thanks for posting. If not for my inability to paint, I would have a replica or two of this paint scheme.

Re: Schumacher Bosscat Ad
To me this represents the ultimate expression of the original series. Although it doesn't share a lot of parts with the CAT, XLS, or Pro CAT, the overall design philosophy was the same. Last of the "pillow ball" CATs.

Re: Schumacher Nitro 10 MK2 Ad
The Mark 2 version brought a larger (.15 vs .12) motor Yeah nah, that's not correct. Mk1 was Irvine S15R at .15 / 2.5cc. Mk2 Irvine S15R2, still at .15 / 2.5cc - just a few slight improvements (block, carb, etc.). Mk3 came with the option of a .12 engine (a Leo, from memory), or no engine at all, a...

Re: Nitro Monster Beetle
Stick a

Runs perfect 41mph so far but it was really windy, I couldn't hang the guts out of it...10% nitro...always starts on the 1st pull

Re: Schumacher Club 10 Ad
The original Club 10, (the Mk1, if you will) was pretty much a re-released original Cougar in many areas, but with some updates for later tech (hubs, towers, shocks, diffs, etc.). Things really changed up when the Mk2 came along - plastic-bodied shocks, fixed camber and steering links, gear transmis...

My Attempt at doing something less basic
Painted up a spare Yokomo body over the weekend. Decided to try to replicate the scheme on my XX-4 and X-5. IMG_20240324_220420807.jpg IMG_20240324_210942416.jpg Things I learned: -cutting compound curves is a pain in the ass, especially on curved surfaces -need to get better on consistent cutting d...
