Re: RC10B3 x 2 - Factory Team & WOIN Runner
Yeah b6 is all metric. So it looks super similar but it's different.

Re: Bulk axle shims
Shims are one thing I have not been able to find cheaply. That price from Amain is pretty good.
I saw your post but when I went to reply after refreshing my memory, well.... You know how Facebook is with finding old posts. Ugh.
Glad you popped in and I could reply.

Re: Blue tub RC10 RPM build
Yes the rear arm mounts are quite unique. They are from the anti-telescoping kit. The mounting holes are placed in between the normal dual pattern on an associated mount. They can only be installed in one wheelbase, it's a 'middle' setting. Thanks for the compliments. A couple minor things and she s...

Re: 2WD buggy from 2022 vs. 4WD buggy from 1992...who would win?
As a data point, when the world's rerelease came out, some of the factory drivers were building them and running them and lap times were on par with new cars. It's very much batteries, brushless and tires than can either show major weakness in a design, or show how most modern stuff has been increme...

Re: 91 Masami Stealth replica (Photo Comparison Uploaded)
It's been said that the 89 stealth car evolved into the b2/b3, and the 91 stealth car evolved in to the b4. The only major difference is the change in front c-hub design to get rid of the dropped spindle. Since the 91 world's, the tracks have become smoother and faster which means that dropped spind...

Re: Rare graphite weave pattern ?
Yeah production variation was pretty constant. I'm sure it's a less common part, but hesitate to say it's worth more or less than any other graphite chassis(other than the very late version that was shaped differently). If it's in great condition, that is where the value lies. Otherwise, run chassis...

Re: Have Good News - Please post it here
That is pretty awesome, lucky star alignment that nothing bad happened. I got a bit of good fun news. My Dad and I got to finally get our 66 Chevelle convertible on the road on Sunday. She's a survivor car that my dad drove in the 80's. Rough but complete and we had a badass donor motor to put in it...

Re: RC10 Protector by J Concepts (thoughts & examples)
That body is close enough to a protech that you could just use those as examples. Tons of paint jobs around on the original body.

Re: Traxxas TRX1
Yeah kind of a tough topic around here because valuation is so subjective. If I have an interested buyer, I'll ask them what they want to offer. Then counter offer by about 20% if the offer seems reasonable. If they bite, they really want it. Of course, a low-ball offer would be grounds for ending t...

So a basher bashed a Traxxas. Shocking.
Glad it survived. Sheesh. That's a sweet car.

Re: Basement find
You can get new ballcups and ball ends from custom works. They will be black. The dubro ones you have are vintage correct and perfectly fine as long as they aren't mangled I agree on a good cleanup, parts soak and steering bellcrank replacement. New wheels and tires of you plan to drive it often, ot...

Re: Favorite tools
The standard tools I use for almost everything are a set of real, good 00 tweezers, an xacto knife, and a straight dental pick. I have an awesome set of needle nose pliers and a pair of small end nippers 1/8" wide that I use to grip shock shafts without scratching them up. I also have an associ...
