Re: RC10 Gold Pan - C stamp?
This kit was no joke, not sure how someone could install this between races, it was very involved. Tiny pieces, oily hands, not easy. Here goes. The full kit. https://i.imgur.com/jDoZNey.jpg Directions front. https://i.imgur.com/Cmdr8ev.jpg Directions back. https://i.imgur.com/uqpGwHI.jpg What was i...

Re: (2) RC10GT's - Black Pan and Plastics - #7065
Really appreciate it klavy69 , I'll be sure to keep up on this in the future. Was able to get the servos in, and the new receiver mount installed on #2 this evening. https://i.imgur.com/ZC4Fdij.jpg I have (4) RC's that need the Rx battery pack, I have none left. Will probably go with the era correct...

Re: RC10 Gold Pan - C stamp?
To me, that's crazy that they used the same model numbers for the Rx, and Servo, even though they have a different pin layout. Any change in design should've been denoted with a model number change, weird stuff. Thanks guys! I would think so as well. But they did change case color, plug color and d...

Re: VRC Pro Review - Game Play
Probably a stupid question, but here goes..... Do they "license" or attempt to replicate actual RC cars? Can you drive an RC10, or a Top Cat, or a Top Cat, or maybe a Top Cat? :D My RC flight sim uses the controller, too, and I find it actually helps as a trainer. It uses RC planes that a...

Re: (2) RC10GT's - Black Tub and Plastics - #7065
#2's body arrived today, by way of J Concepts, then a brief stop over at Andy's.

Stock box art decals, or no decals? Rear wing, or no rear wing? What would you do? (Strictly for display purposes)

Re: (2) RC10GT's - Black Tub and Plastics - #7065
Can't believe someone out there is making the specific, RC10gt box art decal sheet, so stoked. The seller sent me a nice email, letting me know he's in Canada and it could be a couple of weeks until the sheet gets here. https://mciracing.ca/products/1-10th-associated-rc10-gt-box-art-decals https://m...

Re: RC10 Gold Pan - C stamp?
_VUxqGbj0KM Even though I put the wires in backwards on the motor, like Frankentruck mentioned this Rooster would have needed to be reversed to make it work right, so it goes in the correct direction currently with the wires backwards  . Was surprised to see it goes as fast in reverse as it do...

Re: VRC Pro Review - Game Play
Got the cables built, and soldered to the Arduino board. https://i.imgur.com/oeVhZBv.jpg The battery plug is horizontal, the signal wires for channels 1-3 run vertical, three channels can be run on just two connectors in this way: https://i.imgur.com/3Vp5yjX.jpg Works incredibly well, as good as Rea...

Re: Engines
If I was looking to buy a brand new engine today, the OS .12 TG, seems like the only option from OS. Looks like the shaft would need to be cut down to fit under the bell clutch, not sure how well this engine would work. https://www.horizonhobby.com/product/os-max-.12-tg-version-4/OSMG2010.html I fou...

Re: Possible Zebra RC10 CE... help requested
Hard to say exactly what year you have there, but I would agree with '94-'95 zebra kit, '96 was the last year, and has all black plastics.
The late kits are great, and so is the Stealth transmission. Congrats!

Re: RC10 Gold Pan - C stamp?
The thing that always looked so bad about my RC cars in the past, was the bundles of extra servo wire, or battery pack wires, in bunches everywhere. I was determined to do custom length cables. Cut the Airtronics servo wire in half, and added the pins for a J connector. https://i.imgur.com/ZTJAvWt.j...

Re: Cool RC10 Progression Example... imo
I don't have permission to all the forums yet. If this is posted in the wrong place please move it or just delete. I'm beginning to learn about the different progressions the original RC10 undertook during its production. I was lucky enough to view an incredible collection of RC10s over the weekend...

Re: Cool RC10 Progression Example... imo
I watched the same auction and couldn't believe how it shot up in the last 12 hours. It makes me very happy with my recent purchase. Did all World car kits come with aluminum shock caps or was it a mix-n-match with whatever was available? That's what I was reading about their supplies, they went wi...

Re: (2) RC10GT's - Black Tub and Plastics - #7065
I had read that Singer sewing machine oil is as good as it gets for assembly/storage oil, saturated the internals in it. https://i.imgur.com/CsrShqq.jpg This still needs the head shim, which I'll order now. But I am getting the pop, as if compression will be restored. https://i.imgur.com/eRjfe6O.jpg...
