Re: (2) RC10GT's - Black Tub and Plastics - #7065
Got the bolts I needed to install the engines. Completely broke this CZ .12 down, cleaned, rebuilt, and lubed it with machine oil. https://i.imgur.com/PzkRnq2.jpg The MIP head and stinger were bought in '97 with #1. The larger MIP Shiny CVD's with the bigger RPM bearing carriers, and the MIP Zero Mai...

Re: (2) RC10GT's - Black Tub and Plastics - #7065

Re: RC10 Gold Pan - C stamp?
In trying to figure out my no-brakes, and no-Reverse-delay problem, I looked at the (3) ceramic capacitors that I had to install on the motor, according to the Rooster ESC instructions. I then noticed I had placed (2) caps between + and -, and only (1) from + to the can, or ground. The correct order...

Re: Hobbywing 1060 ESC - Brushed Motor - No Brakes, No Reverse
I did get the Rooster working, it was a calibration issue with the ESC\Rx, and it may have been a capacitor in the wrong spot too. Thanks!

The RC Corvette in - (1988) The Dead Pool - Clint Eastwood
A lot of you must already know this, but I recently found a site that has the original Vette from the movie, and it says the Vette was most likely an RC10 DS, and was driven by Jammin' Jay Halsey! http://www.robobugs.net/articles/dead-pool-dirty-harry-movie-radio-controlled-car http://www.robobugs.n...

Re: RC10 Gold Pan - C stamp?
If I could make a suggestion there is one paint job you rarely see done yet would be somewhat period correct…. IMG_7953.jpeg This paint job spells America with a capital M for sure ! 8) That's also really good! Building the matching pair of those, with the flyer in the display, would be incredible....

Re: What your workstation looks like?
Not as neat as the rest of you, but I roll this bench in to the music room when necessary. https://i.imgur.com/L9CkfU7.jpg Seville Classics HD bench, height adjustable, and can add wheels, drawers and other accessories. The top scratches a bit too easily, but the rest of this thing is built like a t...

Re: Great American R/C Hobby Shop Directory 2025 (list is post #1)
Excellent work! I was looking at something I needed from a site called: https://muddslidemotorsports.com/ I did all the normal checks, whois says the domain has been up since 2007, and their physical address shows a place called RC Hobbies. It passes all the checks that I can think of, phone number ...

Re: The RC Corvette in - (1988) The Dead Pool - Clint Eastwood
Whoa! Awesome! Stinger hood means it is a big block car, correct? :D (Ford guy, so Corvette knowledge is limited and likely mistaken) Thanks 1911Colt ! You're exactly correct it's a big block, this was a 427 Tri-Power roadster. We're not sure why, but my Stepfather sold the 427 engine/tri-power car...

Re: Great American R/C Hobby Shop Directory 2025 (list is post #1)
So glad to hear I didn't discover another bogus site, and that https://muddslidemotorsports.com/ is legit!
I also didn't get an Out of Stock email regarding the bodies today, so I'll assume it's a go.
Thanks as always @Dangeruss!

Re: The RC Corvette in - (1988) The Dead Pool - Clint Eastwood
I was convinced the original TDP body was the Bolink BL2254 63 CV Coupe, but I could certainly be wrong: https://www.rjspeed.com/images/images/Bodies/BoLink%20Body%20pics/2254.jpg These bodies would've been available in '86-'87 when the movie was made. Re: Spun aluminum RC10 wheels
MarkyDents , did you ever get tires for these? I'm trying to get the 5 bean version of these Mini-Mags reproduced, would you mind if I used your excellent pics to show the machinist how it was done? Can I also use your pics for reference in my, RC Corvette The Dead Pool thread? Those rims are sweet!

Doesn't get any better or more clear than that! Huge thanks to @Phin and @MarkyDents!Phin wrote: ↑Thu Jan 18, 2024 7:20 pm Here ya go...MarkyDents has MM wheel dimensions posted here: https://www.rc10talk.com/viewtopic.php?p=521900#p521900
They're the 3 slot version (A10-F3S & R3S) but dimensions should be the same.
