Re: Green parts: not just for ball cups anymore

You start with the local municipal board explaining the community benefit for relatively little cost. It's been done. There's a thread on RCtech 23 pages long right now about the issues with racing and how to solve and your idea is one of them. Common themes: 1) Too much time, most cannot give up a ...

Re: Super Astute rere

Back to Super Astute, slight reaming, AE B4 spur slips right on, uses stock SA slipper plates and hardware just fine with AE slipper pads that match spur. Now you have standard pitch to match rest of your pinions.

Re: RC10 Truck Value hierarchy

Are you tyring to actually race with it and on what surface and how serious of a track? If not, I think get whichever you want. The T2 is kind of an orphan but that makes it somewhat cool to me. T3 is great, but then T4 is cheap too. From RC10T to T4 in right hands they are all similair. Some guy a ...

Re: Ultrasonic Cleaners

I use the hottest water I can get out of the tap and a squeeze of dishwashing soap. Sometimes takes a few cycles changing the water between cycles but nothing unique beyond that for me.

Re: More AE parts being discontinued

Likely the cost of supply chain and maintaining even small inventories was more costly than the few bucks they made selling the old stuff. Packaging, web page costs, storage costs, and on, it's not just a simple as they keep a few old RC10 parts around. Could just be a plain old accounting call and ...

Re: Turbo Ultima rebuild

Looks really great, don't sweat the minor imperfections, historically the cars were only perfect the second before the 1st race. After that the battle wounds began and add character. That's what I tell my wife about my own personal chassis too :D

You'd take your toys and go home then

And maybe it was ahead of it's time. We all run slipper eliminators these days

Re: i know it s an LXT classic, but ...

Who knew back when I had a pile of these and was giving them away they would be come so hard to come by. I would pay a machinist for a nice aluminum one. In the meantime when you find one run the factory works front brace. You need to get longer pins, LOSA602 and LOSA5017 are options and probably ot...

Re: i know it s an LXT classic, but ...

I don't have any RC10 or traxxas suspension pins handy. Would be nice to know if any of those 1/8 pins or other cars may have had right length pins we could use as well. There is probably some other one out there that may be easier to source. It just needs to be close enough as you use spacers anywa...

Re: Losi JRX2 Proformance Build

That's an interesting gearbox layout , I've never seen one before , i like the inside out diff bearings . It's the standard "LRM" (Low Rotational Mass) tranny for anything pre-retrofit (which was XX-like) from Losi. It might have looked good on paper but it's not quite that great a design...
