Re: Ultima rere with Factoryworks Upgrades
Thanks, I am going to go brushed and run a Hobbywing 1060 for its small footprint. Incidently, shorty Lipo fits perfect in the traditional side to side placement. A longer screw at each end that hold the little plastic pieces on locks it in perfect. This configuration leaves room behind battery insi...

Re: Bandit performance potential
Take a look at the one above with the Carbon TRX-B kit. It is not all that different than what we think of as classic race buggies. The stuff I see guys do to old RC10's JRX's etc to modernize them and then call it vintage is no different. You can adapt most of one to an old TRX3 chassis if you use ...

Re: Bandit performance potential
The whole lawsuit thing comes up, whatever, it's a cruel world these are all big international conglomerate companies (with exception of Traxxas, ironically as the sole American owned survivor) at this point with lawyers doing what they do. It's not like Gil Losi and Roger Curtis are sitting in a sh...

Re: Bandit performance potential
Bandit is really not all the different than TRX1 and slightly longer than TRX3. Here's some quick photos I just took. There are so many different length Traxxas arms across platforms and hex wheels are easy on these, you could bring a bandit down a bit with little effort. trx1 bandit compare 1.jpg t...

Re: Trx-1 runner
What are your plans, and you probably already know the front bulkheads are on backwards. TRX1 owners are a small but prestigious and quietly confident bunch

The previous owner was going for the Masami Worlds Stealth look

You are right, we all know the TRX1 was breathing down Masami's neck at the 91 Worlds. So clearly this car was a secret factory attempt to lure Masami over to Traxxas.

Re: RC10Talk - Celebrating 19 Years!
Wow, congrats, I had been away from Hobby for a lot of years and discovered here in 2009. I have to say I miss the activity and community that was here back then. Lot's of trading, detailed build threads and helpful environment. FB is just not the same to me. Seems more of a look at what I have you ...

Re: Trx-1 runner
Bandit rear arms are the same. You can also use Bandit/Rustler front arms, you'll need to use some spacers on the suspension shafts. Or some have actually taken a bandit front bulkhead and split it down the middle, took a potion of it out to make homemade TRX1 bulkheads with the bandit arm mount siz...

Re: Trx-1 runner
Great work, that is a small width difference and not a big deal. Best part is now you can just use Bandit parts which are cheap and easy, realistically will drive the same as original.

Re: Trx-1 runner
Looks like a Losi JRX2 motorplate, creative. I think RC10B2/B3 can be adapted, also the two piece ones from the Blue Eagle, Rad 2 cars to keep it Traxxas (Require drilling a couple holes as well as I am sure the Losi one did) What are those rear hubs? For cheap wheels look at various Tamiya DT02 and...

Re: Operation Blackout Super Astute
With a few upgrades to stronger plastics I see Super Astute as good as any race buggy of time. Add in a carbon chassis and IFMAR champ. I might go so far as to say no need for the Dyna Storm evolution. If nothing else, it sure is sexy to look at.
