Re: Traxxas sending cease and desist letters to aftermarket companies then backing off.

8. No Traxxas Bashing. This is the Traxxas online community for Traxxas enthusiasts. It will naturally have a pro-Traxxas bias. It’s simple. If you don’t like Traxxas and wish to discredit us with your misinformed rants and opinions, then don’t be a member of our community. Your posts will not be t...

Re: What in the R/C would you do?

Someone probably said it already, but I'd go back in time and rid the world of RTR. Even at the expense of killing the hobby. Yes, the R/C community would be even smaller than it is today, but ok...

Re: 1/12 scale Off-Road racing opinions

With so many traditional 1/10 off road vehicles..I don’t think 1/12 would make that big of a difference. My local tracks have no 1:16 racing. I think going back to old school, loose, real dirt tracks would be a great thing though regardless of scale.

Re: The "Golden Age of RC" meaning

Using Dadio's "two ways" theory. I view the golden age as being when I was involved in the hobby from introduction until I left for military service. So '87ish to '93ish. RCCA, trips to the hobby shop, finding workarounds for broken parts in the oldman's shop, Sundays at the track then win...

Re: New project -- The "BC3"

So I got this thing together the other week. I wanted to get it on track before the end of the outdoor season, figuring that track would be a little more forgiving than some of the indoor places I'd be able to get to over the winter. I threw some electronics in it temporarily, so disregard the long ...

Re: Post Pictures of your Losi Vehicles

Hello everybody  A picture of a car with a paint done for a vintage race in Normandy, France (not far from Omaha Beach) in November 2023. The paint makes the body looking like a "steel machine", I like it. Have a great week-end, https://nsm09.casimages.com/img/2024/06/29//24062901304...

Re: RC10 B1 Mid Motor Laydown Buggy

Creeping forward with this. I haven't decided on buggy or truck. So far the answer is 'Yes.'

Actually, scratch that. I already know it's going to be a buggy. I've been hanging onto this ratty body for it. 😁

DIY Single Color Vinyl Decals

As I am finishing up a project where I am creating stickers / decals for the body, and I have a couple of future projects where I will be doing the same, I thought I would throw a DIY out there for the process. Overall, the process can be divided into two main parts: 1) vinyl sheets cut to size, or ...

Re: DIY Single Color Vinyl Decals

Ah, I hit the attachment limit. When done weeding, we cut a piece of transfer tape to a little bigger than our decal size, and stick it on top. Then we gently remove the vinyl backing. This all sounds like a PITA, and it is a little, but with good vinyl and good transfer tape, these products are des...

Re: DIY Single Color Vinyl Decals

Cricut is definitely an excellent way to make decals. The transfer tape doesn't always grab my vinyl securely enough to pull it off the base paper. But with a little care it works out.

Re: Help me do 40+

Well it's official. The 40th hit 40. Bumped the turbo timing to 7° and added only 3° boost timing. The electronics are still new to me so baby steps. Damn near 36,000 RPM. Still drives like a dream. Smooth as silk. (Not pictured: 108° motor temp) Thanks for the tips and comments and for playing alon...

Re: WLToys curiosity project

I get it. At that price point it encourages tinkering and customizing. When you spend $400-500 on a kit and then the upgrades are another $100 or more it gets hard to justify if you are not racing and even then.

Look forward to seeing what you do with it.

Why are the wheel base dimensions length and width? Tamiya Beetle Body maybe?
