Re: Losi noob with some JRX-Pro questions
Welcome, There are many different Losi parts variations. You can find a thread in here detailing most of them. Your foam core version is one of 2-3 main variations. Your chassis has the slot to make room for a servo saver, indicating it is a later version. The early solid version is more sought afte...

Re: Losi noob with some JRX-Pro questions
The rear hubs are the 5 link style used on the original Jrx2 & Jrxt. Those front camber rod ends are just a generic Dubro style.. The two small holes near the bellcranks and servo saver hole are for servo mounts and not original..a common modification. The titanium and RPM bellcranks are nice up...

Re: Original Ultima popularity question
For those that were "there" back in the day, how popular was the original Ultima? From what I remember as a kid, there was much interest in Kyosho claiming and then succeeding in making the Ultima the "next world champion". After that though, attention seemed to return to the RC...

Re: Original Ultima popularity question
I wasn't aware of any behind the scenes dealings but maybe there were. I was in college at the time and a fairly avid weekend racer. Myself and about 10 or 15 racer friends from our home track in Springfield traveled frequently to races throughout central Illinois, down to St. Louis and even to Dave...

Re: Original Ultima popularity question
I think it irritated a lot of potential customers when they saw that the car that won the big race shared very little with the kit they could buy in the store. While it was a capable racer when hopped up, out of the box it lacked a lot. By the time a true racer came out, the design was outdated. If ...

Re: Considering a Bandit. Questions
It’s a lot different. The front bulkhead is wider on a bandit, front tower incompatible. Front caster blocks and steering is all different. The trans and arm mounts are one piece so you have no adjustability and it’s narrower. Trans internals are different as well as the ratio. The rear arms are the...

Re: Bandit performance potential
You could add adjustable links for more tuning of the suspension. Factory Works has a double deck chassis option which essentially makes it a TRX-3 lookalike. In theory you could shorten the wheelbase in the chassis if you went that route. I believe that the trans is the same internal and final driv...

Re: Bandit performance potential
I built a "race" bandit a while ago but I don’t think I ever gave it a real workout. I think the key components to make a Bandit (or any car for that matter) fast are... Tires Shocks Diff Then things like adjustable turnbuckles and plate towers etc..And with the possibilities of more perfo...
