Re: Fan RC FR-01
What size spur gear are you using? An fdr around 6 is a safe place to start with a 17.5 in a buggy. If you have an 81t spur then a 30t pinion works, but it might be a tight fit? You could also try 78/29 or 75/28 so the motor is not slammed all the way back on the motor plate.

Re: Blasphemous T2 retro racer
I say go for it! T2's are great runners. Definitely the most fun chassis to customize if you ever want to cut down chassis sides and trim motor plates without sacrificing any rigidity. Otherwise, all you may want to do is maximize track width with wide front axles and for the rear b4/t4 axles and sp...

Re: Fan RC FR-01
Sounds like you got the mesh correct, just make sure you can rock the spur gear for a full 360° rotation. Sometimes they are slightly out of round and still make noise if there is a tight spot somewhere. Check for any excess flashing and if you are still unhappy with the stock spur, best thing is to...

Re: RC10B1.5 resto mod
I recently managed a little more time to get this one closer to being finished. Got to work on the rear end and first off I have the klein wide rear arms from dynotech with associated 3° rear arm mounts and 0° hub carriers. I did not have any B44 driveshafts so after some searching I came across an ...

Re: RC10B1.5 resto mod
Lastly, for this bit of progress I've got the chassis all assembled and it is now a roller/slider. B6 wing mounts added and I am using a standard rc10 battery cup with new holes drilled in the chassis. A jconcepts battery strap with some thumb screws will secure the battery down.

Re: What's in the mail? Or, What are you currently waiting for?
I and Im sure many others here totally get what you are saying. Sometimes you need just one part to complete a project and you have to order it, waiting and watching the shipping status with anxiety, and just about having a panic attack when you notice it is delayed somewhere or potentially lost in ...

Re: Blasphemous T2 retro racer
Did you use b4/t4 front caster blocks with the stock inline steering block and axles? I found that is the best way to widen the front and minimize geometry problems. Only thing i never liked about using the b4/t4 caster block on older rc10s is that at full lock, there's still the issue of the inside...

Re: Blasphemous T2 retro racer
Just TBG at the moment. Jconcepts did release it but discontinued it a few years ago I believe along with the narrow 10t team truck body. They just have the T3, f150 10t, and GT bodies available now. I currently use the TBG T2 body on my runner and it is just as good as the original. Only the T2 bod...

Re: Next up- The Halsey edition RC10
I wonder if AE is saving the best for last -- although I have no clue what it will be. A never been in production Masami race car is probably asking too much. I feel like these newly added, out of stock items mean something. . 1000014778.png . 1000014779.png A Masami version, even if its just one o...

Re: RC10B1.5 resto mod
Electronics are installed and it's now a runner. I'll be using B4 bearing front wheels and modern hex rears. Next, the body. Back about 15 years ago or so when we started trying to piece together T2 buggies here on 10talk, finding a currently available body that fit the t2 chassis was all trial and ...

Re: RC10B1.5 resto mod
Haha, I guess those were some quite obvious easter eggs. Both motors are used and belonged to my dad. I only recall being there in person as a kid when he purchased the yellow can race prep at the ranch pit shop in the late 80's for his rc10. It's a 17x1 and both the can and endbell say ayk on them....

Re: Ultima Worlds Spec
Very neat! They ought to fix those rere ball diffs though. It's almost as though they are using a plastic material that is just too soft to be used for a diff gear. Gear diffs are solid however.

Re: Blasphemous T2 retro racer
So, it looks like the T3 body fits okay after all. I had one fitted to a 10t with a custom kydex mount and stock pieces to mimick a T3 shock tower rest and mount and I believe it would probably work just as well on a T2. I have my T2 shock tower mounted in the stock position and the pic's are a litt...

I just went through the photo album and I've got to say Mr. Divitto took some great pictures! Made me feel like I was there watching the racing.

Re: RC10B1.5 resto mod
Got the B2 body painted and stickered up. It was a total rush job but the stickers help hide blems and paint bleed. I'm calling this one done, just going to glue up a set of new rear double dee's and sprinters to try out. In the last pic, it sits next to it's WOIN B3 sibling.
