Re: Motor Collection - Old School Horsepower
There is a description somewhere for the armature but have to search. Also there was an ad at a magazine but I don´t remember where. I just know it was a very fast 1/12 scale motor. And looking from the outside to the armature I can see a lot of copper. I think bearing size could be seen only after ...

Re: 1985 Marfet ESC (Pre-Nosram)
Nice story about old ESC.
What is really interesting to me is the relais found at the PCB. It is fully watertight and is what I used also at my own ESC around 1982/1983.

Re: Revolution Motors
The 17x3 Oval and the 19T (I think double) were the first Revolution production motors. Before them I got a 16x3 and a 18x3 prototype motor, right for our Nationals. The 18x3 was not working for me. The 16x3 was one of my fastest motors ever. When the armature burnt later, I replaced this motor with...

Re: What Speed Controllers Were Available Circa 1980?
That Auto Modeller article is interesting, didn´t saw so far. Well, I personally made my own ESC when I started into 1/12 scale cars in 1978, as I didn´t like the MSC. But this doesn´t count for the question. Delta Autodrive was very interesting ESC but far from being the first. Their small 1/18 sca...

Trinity EX Tech Experimental motor - purple can?
The Trinity EX Tech Experimental motors usually come with grey can and endbell and golden brush setup. I got a different version with purple can and endbell and silver brush setup. The label is exactly the same as with the other version. I tried to find specs or infos on this version but struggle so...

Re: Delta Super J
Well I like Delta cars (any) and build and collect them. Also I run Super-J project cars. The battery for the receiver and servos was 5 cells usually. Regarding the size I don´t know the name of the cells, but they are larger diameter and much shorter than AA cells. Sanyo made those cells I think ma...

Re: Demon motor thread - no others please
Another Demon motor based on the Yokomo can was the Demon Pink. I received this motor from Nick in I think 1985 also. It was his personal prototype motor. He tried this motor in the RC10 and told me it´s not good but I should try at my car and our races. Beside the RC10 I bought also a Hirobo Zerda ...

Re: Demon motor thread - no others please
Great thread - thanks for this. Was an informative read. I was quite surprised to read the early Reedy link as I was not aware of that, but i have just had a skim through of some early Demon adverts and located some Reedy listings with the typical coloured Reedy Dot nomenclature along with some let...

Re: Demon motor thread - no others please
Had a look to my two other Demon motors but no photos. One motor is Yokomo based as well and the sticker looks exactly like the Green A Reedy. But there is not the small white timing sticker. So the question is, is it a real Reedy motor or not. I don´t want to disassemble at the moment. But the arma...

Re: Demon motor thread - no others please
But I wonder why it is actually tech talk between us and no other guys involved.
I know there have been interest before. And Demon motors had been very popular in Europe.
So guys come on and post your motors and knowledge. Or questions.
