Re: So what did you get in the post today ???
Even this stuff is vintage
They changed the formula 15-20 years ago so had to buy vintage fabric dye. I'm making a new version of my 1989 RC10L to the exact same spec as I made it back then (will be starting a separate thread soon).

Re: Sees Wheels
great post! They are indeed still in business. I live 3mi from their location. I've considered stopping by unannounced with my Sees wheels and thanking them for the history but I don't want them to think I'm some a-hole or crazy person! Here is the Jan91 RCCA.. if you don't have this ad and want a b...

Re: Novak RC Analyzer
yes it's well built, the enclosure has that nice thick coating. It takes a standard IEC cord. I'm tempted to put a nice 16x2 OLED display in it but will likely leave as is.

Re: (1986-2005) RC Car Action Archives
RCCA stripped out the ads when they scanned them years ago. It sucks, those were the best part. Unfortunately nobody else has had the time or means to scan their collection. Moms are the best. They know to keep these things that would otherwise be trashed years ago. I think I have every issue up un...

Vintage RC10 signed by Halsey & Lett at PCH Hobbies in Lomita, CA
This is my local hobby shop Pacific Coast Hobbies. Been there many times and never noticed this one in a case at the back of the store. Bit of a mashup but it has early production shocks & chassis with the very light anodizing. Never seen this in person. Other early parts inside too (too hard to...

Re: So what did you get in the post today ???
Can't say no to a NOS Twister - the first aftermarket motor I ever bought. I still remember being in the living room breaking it in with a pair of D batteries in a radio shack battery holder, likely burning some spots in the end table from soldering.

Re: So what did you get in the post today ???
A friend that's getting rid of his RC stuff sent me a pile of vintage stickers. Stickers are my favorite way to fix my paint jobs! . 1000015309.jpg Ahh... can never have enough Novak stickers. And those Revtech ones are nice. I got these ones the other day, does anyone know about what time pe...

Re: I started a youtube rc page
subbed???? what you mean? subscribed! I did too  Love the Bud's racing pace car w/ the old Bud's wing, just like might see back in the day. Reminds me I'm still looking for some of those old Bud's stickers in white... some day I will find them (the ones on MCI are wrong - the font is not very...

Re: ** Build of the Month Contest - October 2024 ** - Winner - TheDiamondOne
Nice win David, excellent build. Yes, congratulations. It was a tough one, I voted for the Hunter just because silvertriple is out of his mind and the dedication on that one. Simply getting a build complete so I can participate is a win for me  seriously! I have one build. I've basically been ...

Re: Next up- The Halsey edition RC10
They are getting much better with the box art and presentation. The box is amazing. It's still annoying that my $100 WLToys cars have beautiful painted and stickered bodies but I'd still have to paint this special edition and apply freaking giant stickers. I noticed a few nice painted bodies availab...
