Anyone remember TCR? Gotta love getting around those jam cars! I had a TCR set too as a kid, but I remember it being more frustrating than fun...it didn't help that my dad wasn't really mechanically inclined and once the cars could barely run anymore, we couldn't do the necessary maintenance. :lol:...

Worked a bit more on it tonight. Rebuilt an old Yokomo motor for checking alignment of the belt and pinion. For some odd reason, the motor did not fit up against the aluminum mount. The factory design was off a bit. The top plate on the pod was sitting too low and interferes with the motor. I had to...

Tonight I worked on the old Vette body trying to clean up the mangled area behind the rear window. I like purple in general, but the spur gear and servo mounts will be replaced. Anyone have any idea who makes the servo mounts in the original pic? I really like them, but need black. Nice! I always loved the early Optimas. I saved all my money back then to buy a Turbo Optima and was really amazed how well it soaked up the bumps and ripping around with the 240s with the 9 tooth pinion! It was like the "turbo" kicked in when the 240s hit its power band! Good memories. Gr...
