Diff gears. Early gears were the black nylon variety and were also notorious for self destruction. Later replaced by steel.
Early nip on the left and later steel on the right.

Re: SG Coyote differences
Upper suspension arms. I don't know if there is early and later with these. In the two wheel drive kits you get a pair of the two different types. If you look closely at the photos you can make out the "R" and "F" on each. The "F" arm is swept back more to increase cast...

Rear hubs. Early on the left and later on the right. The top arm mount is taller on the newer version.

Re: SG Coyote differences
The boxes themselves. Early (much prettier) on the left and later on the right. Interestingly, both these kits were identical inside. Both had steel gears and all the parts were later versions.

Re: Now people can't stop talking about the 1/12th Fantom 4wd re-re!!! :)
Finally built. Things to note, the parts fit is excellent. The only thing that wasn't quite right on mine is the front right stub axle side play. There was a little more movement than the left side. Easily remedied with some Tamiya shims. The front sprocket isn't ferrous. It has quite a heft to it. ...

Re: Now people can't stop talking about the 1/12th Fantom 4wd re-re!!! :)
Looks really nice! Thank you. Why isn't the body painted yet ??? It took me long enough to build. I'm getting older. The car looks great Chris! By chance, are you able to determine if the front and rear sprockets have the same tooth count? Someone mentioned the car having one-way bearings in ...

Re: Now people can't stop talking about the 1/12th Fantom 4wd re-re!!! :)
I can confirm, shorter pinions will not fit with the 600E fitted. I tried a Robinson Racing 22 tooth 48dp pinion. There's not enough shaft to lock the grubscrew onto. 11mm of shaft protrudes from the front of the motor. In the instructions Kyosho recommends motors that have 15mm minimum for using sh...

Trey,
I've got my paint but haven't decided on the design yet. Definitely not doing boxart for this one.

I've got the 240S speed control here already. I was lucky as I bought it for $104 Australian dollars from a Hong Kong eBay seller when they had three left. There's some listed now from the US for horrendous prices.
