Re: Hirobo Bearcat SS - Let's start something else...
Got the car almost tore down to parts today... Some bad surprises, it seems that the car was not stored properly and rust made some bad things... It started yesterday with the right front wheel. Today, I decided to retry differently, and it did not happen well. https://i.imgur.com/zELvGsh.jpg I gues...

Give a pro driver a crappy car experiment
So, I've always had this youtube idea to give a pro driver an outdated or "crappy" engineered car and see just how they would fare around a race track. Part of the test is to see their driving skills and their mechanical ability to improve an outdated design on a race track. Kind of like I...

Re: Spare parts build
Love the build and amazing what is lying around in your ‘parts bin’ like how big is that bin? Obviously, the last few items were bought new. And it's more like a bin and several boxes. Is it me or is this one starting to look almost too good to drive? It'll just be some decent paint (I hope) ...

Re: Marui Big Bear tires - let's CAD :)
After some feedbacks and further checks on the pictures, I decided to review the model slightly to make the chevron profiles different... I also included some lettering (a plan under the surface, a text, an extrusion, shaved with a revolve at an offset of .5mm of the surface of the tire). https://i....

Re: Give a pro driver a crappy car experiment
I think the point made about "how uncompetitive" results from this experiment is most interesting to me as well. Give Ryan Maifield, Masami Hirosaka, a top local racer, and myself a bone stock Tamiya Grasshopper with a transponder. How different will our times be? Five seconds, three or le...

Re: The Ugly Truckling JRXT
And it’s done.. The JRXTrugly! The ride height is set a little high for more ground clearance and the body set low…looks better than I thought it would. https://i.postimg.cc/QtNhxnDk/2-FF8-F4-A5-4-B75-42-DC-8-C95-B05207-D60-C1-E.jpg https://i.postimg.cc/s243zCkg/4-BDDF528-B633-4-B09-A336-0-E0-E76939...

Re: Yokomo 870c Build
Got my body back from the painter, so all I need now are for my tires to arrive and to find a clean sanyo 1700 SCE saddle pack so I can stick some electronics in it.

Re: Hirobo Bearcat SS - Let's start something else...
I had hope to find some MF106K bearings today thanks to a friend at the club, but it did not work... I've ordered some. In the meantime, i've taken bearings 6x15x5 for the rear axle carrier to continue this build... https://i.imgur.com/A3gsUGW.jpg The wobble is definitely present, and the MF106K bea...

Re: Project Hyper Hornet
A little more progress. I still need to decide on which rear axles to use. I see CVDs available for The Frog but I'm not sure how well they will work with the Associated gearbox outdrives. I really want to be able to use the Hornet rear wheels. I also need to determine if I want to stay with Hornet ...

Re: Give a pro driver a crappy car experiment
You could give a pro driver a crappy car and me a B7, it still wouldn't matter.
The only chance I'd have is by wrecking him as he lapped me. It might happen without me even trying.
