Re: RC10GT Rebuilds

Thread update! The E-gt is now done, just in time for the Vonats. This was a collaboration between Jason Ruona and myself... coming up with a plan for leftover parts after a string of GT restorations. Here's a little rundown: Chassis reano'd blue JC Hi-Flow T5m body (modern twist on an old...

Re: 'da blue guy

I finally got tires and wheels for this thing so it's ready to go. Swapped the Futaba out for a Savox digital servo, and also cut the under tray cut out and installed. I was hoping to get to the track today but it didn't work out. Maybe next weekend if it rains (supposed to go to a car show on Sunda...

Cheapest Brushless ESC Test and Review

Once upon a time, upgrading from your mechanical speed control to an esc was a good chunk of a paycheck or a summer of mowing lawns for a kid. Brushless came along and was not the cheapest upgrade to an RC either. When I first started making the change over to lipo battteries and brushless esc's and...

Re: Cheapest Brushless ESC Test and Review

I'm looking forward to your ESC review. I've been thinking about getting that exact ESC for a long while now. The description wording in the Chinese acutions has always prevented the purchase: "High quality PCB plate, good linearity, high current capability, can be No brush and no sense of brus...

Re: A '91 Stealth RC10 project

Got the body painted today. I'm happy with how it turned out -- not perfect but I guess it's good enough for a runner.

I used some old paint I still had from bitd. I'm amazed this stuff is still good after roughly 30 years.

Re: A '91 Stealth RC10 project

Thank you Chuck, Justin and sandkil. Actually, since the paint and graphics were Cliff Lett's, you might be right about AE using it for box art. Cliff's buggies are some of my personal favorites. It's a shame AE never produce this car (although I can understand why they didn't). However, you'll find...

Re: RC10 Graphite project

Another long-standing and quiet thread, but I have started to make a little progress with this build now. Still a way to go, but a quick update for the time being. Firstly, I managed to get my hands on a very cool bespoke rear shock tower made by a fellow owner. Just the kind of thing I was looking ...

Re: ** Build of the Month Contest - November 2018 ** - Winner - sandkil

Very stacked this month. I wish I could vote for each one. Everyone should be very proud of their build.

Re: Jsourbeck on ebay

Sad news indeed... I did not have the privilege of knowing or talking directly with Jim but I purchased quite a few items over the years and it was a pleasure doing business with him. Threads like this do make you reflect and think about what a special community it is that we have here. Hug a loved ...
