Re: RC10 - A Stamp Rebuild - Chipped Idler Gear
The peroxide method is tried and true. If it hasn't been mentioned, just make sure to rinse/soak the parts after really well. Might want to pay particular attention to blind holes, etc. When going into the peroxide bath, you can drive the air bubbles out with a toothpick or similar. Same with the ri...

Re: Are we ready to add an RC10T ReRe section?
THIS IS THE ONE I'M DOING! Love it. Maybe not enough to build it....maybe this is the one that stays shrink wrapped in the box. But, probably not.
right place, "right" time build. Will be glued to this thread for pre-order intel.

Re: Bored? Come To The Chit / Chat Thread
Breaking in transmissions with an air gun/chuck reminded me of an F around and find out shop hijinks experience. Now, normally, you don't tell people you've done something this dumb....Anyway.. OK, so never spool up a bearing with compressed air, right? Right, we all know this. But, why not? Conduct...

Re: Are we ready to add an RC10T ReRe section?
Can someone explain the "outlawed" front wheels story? It was the only stadium truck that had narrow front tires/wheels when it debuted at the (I think) Florida Winter Champs back in 1991. It did well, placing 1st and 2nd. There was some controversy due to the "skinny fronts" po...

Re: whats in the box?!?
Schrodinger can't find his cat because Aunt Bethany wrapped it up and gave it away as a Christmas gift. https://static1.srcdn.com/wordpress/wp-content/uploads/2023/12/5-19.jpg?q=50&fit=contain&w=750&h=415&dpr=1.5 I was thinking more...this. David-Fincher-Seven-Box-Far-Out-Maga...

Re: Parts Bags AE Logos - what years for each logo style?
Are you implying that there are Eclips that aren't horrible? Dunno about azone but I'd say there are e-clips that aren't horrible... they're the ones still in the packaging. :D Speaking of which, azone, putting the dates on the first post is awesome 👍 but looks like some got transposed. I'll ...

Re: The RC Corvette in - (1988) The Dead Pool - Clint Eastwood
The Revell #39628 Chrome Spray, is pretty amazing. I'm terrible at painting, always in the wind, and either too heavy or leaving a weird texture. Revell was really easy to get a good result. On the left are the Rustoleum and Jenolite painted knockoffs, the (3) on the right are Revell, notice the de...

Re: The Official "What is it?" Thread
Traxxas long front shocks part number 4760 looks like traxxas have very resently deleted them from production but they’re still around on eBay etc. they were originally produced in blue ano then when to a light grey hard and with blue caps on the trx-1 and blue eagle onwards and more resently the d...

Re: "TRX-2" ('92 Reedy Race Inspired)
Rick Vehlow was the driver. But it's not gonna be a true replica. Screenshot_20231003_224535_Samsung Notes.jpg Edit: going with a Furatani "replica". The V-low-pro version of the TRX-1 body is kinda too expensive to reproduce. Have you thought of the team blue groove narrow trx1 body? It’...

Re: RC10 Graphite rebuild - the doom buggy rides again
That chassis cleanup looks great. Looks like you're having a good time with it all. And don't fret, there are plenty of impulsive shoppers here.
