LOSI XXXNT PROTOTYPE TEST/MULE TRUCKS
i bought these from bearrickster. he got these truck from rich trujillo he works at team losi and has been for the past 20 years. these were test/prototype team drivers trucks. drivers might have been "matt francis" & "adam drake." their were a total of 8 made, which were custom made inhouse at losi. rich trujillo took these out of the dumpster and saved them after testing. these are the only 3 left. u can see the different mill work and the difference in the holes in the chassis. one chassis has the #8 engraved which on the bottom side also has a z engraved. not sure the differences are from the stock production trucks. i bought 2 xxxnt trucks off ebay to put these in roller form than i will be able to see the differences. here is a email i got from rich after i asked him about the history on these trucks:
To be honest, I simply don't remember. I gave them to Rick knowing he was pretty hardcore Losi. I saved them from the dumpster but after being with losi going on 20 years next month, I've seen and been part of lots of projectors but it's all a blur. I'll talk to adam drake and see if he recalls anything.
Sorry I don't have more to offer ,
Rich

u can see how the chassis braces are slighty different as they were refind. also the prototypes had a 2 peice chassis brace as the production ones were a solid 1 peice design as show in the pic.

Losi's prototype parts are the most interesting things to me in whole "rc world" to me. You have really nice collection there.
