It’s Team Losi day for me. I’ve had the GTX for a little bit now. Slowly “cleaning it up”. Mostly just slapping some new wheels, tires, and some graphite parts to glamour it up. When I bought it I didn’t realize the chassis was supposed to be black....

I’ve got a few more trucks to collect before it’s ready.
I do need to find a way to display my stuff though.
If only I could drop the cash on this. This THE truck I always wanted back in the day. I think if I dropped this much cash, I would end up in the wood shed, past the dog house, for quite some time.

Set money aside, keep you’re eyes open.
I used to see stuff like this and think “man I can’t afford that”.
Setting money aside gives you time to say, “I can afford that”, and it gives you time to see other options. You might find a super clean...
When I had my rc10t ( that went “missing” after the wife cleaned) I was going through my old pit box. I found my old hydra drive that was offered for the 10t. If memory serves, I didn’t like it and or didn’t know how to use it. Well, I have all the...

Hello Rlayman
The easiest and best source of information for Losi is Dan, AKA OldRC.com, SabulaTech and mytimac.
Again Dan is a business member here on RC10 talk and an awesome source of both knowledge and parts for Losi as well as other models.
I...
I got the truck and after reading posts about it I’m excited to be rebuilding and running one of these. Gonna take some time as parts are hard to find and be reasonably priced. But that’s the thrill of the hunt right? So, found a body and some...

They should be LOSA5015 double o-ring shock cartridges.
Fairly easy to find and reasonably priced as well. Dan AKA Sabulatech is a business member here and great to deal with.

Starting a losi Jrx2 build. Hoping to build a shelfer and a runner with leftover parts.
I purchased a losi off a forum member for parts and some nip parts that should be here soon.
I'll update this with pics as I go along.
I've been fortunate enough recently to of found (well by my friend in the states) a brand new in the box Losi XXT! Before this was found I purchased a couple of rollers from other people in states, and accrued some new parts where I could in the...

Very cool they used your picture. Your truck and paint is likely nicer than theirs. 😎
Your XXT and other and other build threads is what really got me to fall in love with the XX series. I've studied all of your threads and pictures more than I...
Well here it is, well most of the parts anyway. This haul has taken me quite a few months so far, notably the BNIP chassis which I am so happy to have found as that was the decider in me doing the build. This truck is gonna be a Graphite+, but with...

Good change. The silver lettering looks so much nicer.
Hi all, so i was a die hard AE guy back when the 10t came out. Long story short, my original 10t team truck with a lot of rpm upgrades went, shall i say, missing. So, wanting to get back into r/c again i got a nice xxT graphite plus roller that i...

Great resource!! Thanks so much for that as I was going to ask about stickers soon. Beat me to it....
Anyone else watch these?

There are several interviews and lots of history. There are several episodes with hopefully more to come, soon. I found it fascinating.
Hi gents could someone please help me Id this barn find.
It looks like a JRX-Pro, as ot has long front shockes amg a hydrodrive unit, but the cut saddle pack chassis seems wrong, and it came with original orange JR-X2 wheels?

I recently picked up a pair of wheels and tires (A-7120) off ebay.
They were glued so I soaked them in acetone as ive done many times before and was able to get them off the wheels without issue.
After cleaning and drying them off, one tire has...

Its the LXT Ford Ranger body which is still available from TBG who doesnt offer the decals... they point you towards MCI Racing. MCI has decals for the LXT but theyre for the original body/design.
I have this faint recollection of an old video we used to play at the hobby shop I worked at , had to be around 1989 - 1990, that had a cool clip of Losi and his NSX. I think we only had 2 VHS tapes we played, well I did. The owner was a train guy...

I don't remember the Video, but I do remember seeing his NSX in the Ranch Pit Shop's parking lot.
Pretty sure it had a Personalized License Plate, maybe LOSI :?:

Here’s a jrxt that I’ve been putting together for a while. It’s got some nifty bits, some RPM arms and wide 5-link set, RPM nose brace, some powdercoated coolness, polished shocks, and “rare” parts. I hope you like it....

No big fan of nitro cars, but some years ago i bought two xxxnt ad2 really cheap. i have one in running condition with a new .15 engine. i tested it this last weekend.
This will be my last build of my X2 series and this is my personal ultimate JRX2. Special thanks goes out to Scr8p and Rick for help get the chance to install some great parts on this one. Some of the highlights:
So I stumbled upon a deal for a $20 generically labeled Losi Street Weapon a few months back . I put it to the side not sure what to do with it and then ended up picking up a few nice on road bodies and thought the SW would be a nice home for the...

All the losi belts from the SW/XX4, XXXS, etc break down with age. Even if you find them NOS they will probably be no good. Tough Racing should have them for sale, but in a different material.

So I’m going to try and put a Hydra-Drive together. I’ve had a look through all the threads I can find but I can’t find a rebuild thread.
I’ve found the instructions thanks to links from the site.
Up to this point I have only found this part,...

This is awesome! I’m surprised that there have not been more Kyle Reed replicas. Thank you for sharing!
This buggy belongs to Gary Kyes. It's sitting on his shelf and has been since the 91 Worlds so to say the least it has a bit of dust on it. Gary has been with the Company since the beginning of Team Losi. I didn't start working for Losi until 1994...

I know I’m resurrecting a very old thread, but it is too good not to. Thank you all for sharing these pics! This car was so awesome!
I had some spare time, so I thought I'd pull a few of my restored Losi buggies out for a few photos.
I need to finish my XX CR and my XXX BK2 needs paint, but I'll get to them, soon.
Might shoot my Losi trucks, next.

Great thread. That Jrx-2, jrx-pro, amd jr’s choice are excellent! I’d love to see body off shots!
Hi. I have always loved the look of the JRX-T. I had a RC10T as a kid, which I loved, but I also wanted the Losi. Well, I recently rebuilt my original RC10T, and am currently building a NIB RC10T. I know the RC10 platform very well, but the Losi is...

im guessing brushed is what you want? on 8.4v? .. i'd look at a 'Yeahracing hackmoto 13T' on ebay if your dead set on a low turn motor, its liable to run hot and not last long offroad .. a 16-17T will be more durable with loads of torque in a 1/10th...
I managed to find a NIP XX CR body and didn't have one, so I went about putting a nice XX CR together.
The first time I used a graphite 'S' or short chassis and the body was way off from fitting.
I have a 'L' or long stamped chassis, so I rebuilt it...

I might call my favorite bestest car junk or the coolest car at a cruise junk then turn around and call the trash i put to the curb junk, very odd i will say so myself,
Here goes. This will be a mostly stock build of a JRX2 Proformance buggy. However, I couldn't help but finally open up my Uber rare gold Losi shock bodies.
I removed the mount on top of the transmission case. I feel it's a much cleaner look...

Did you use a different screw for the steering brace? Mine seemed to make the steering bind but it could have been operator error. And do those shock cartridges work a lot better than stock?
Hi all,
I’m looking to get my losi xx cr set for some vintage racing, I was after some set up advice, I’ll mainly be running it on Astro turf, so was wondering what spring / shock oil combo to use? Anyone out there run there xx on Astro ?
This wasn't supposed to happen! I have collected and restored every Losi buggy, cars and trucks from the JRX2, onward.
The cut off point was the XXX series...or was supposed to be!
I somehow wound up justifying sourcing and restoring both XXX...

Has anybody already measured and know the size of the the quad-seal (or x-ring) orings inside the Hydra-Drive? I want to get a supply of replacements, maybe try some different compounds.
I may have stumbled on a XXT-CR Graphite Plus. It's hard to tell from the pics but all the A-arms have graphite stamped on them. I can't see it on the front shock tower or the chassis brace, but the material and grain in the parts look consistent...

Thanks for the reply. I've looked at that manual and that's what has me confused. All the XXT manuals show the bubbles with the battery brace, but some losi's came with the velcro battery straps and I can't find a manual to show that.
So this quarantine had me pull out the XXT and try to convert it to brushless. While scouring the internet for information I've run across this forum and after seeing awesome builds from Jamin, Lavigna and a couple other guys on here, it has made me...

That's a nice little unit. Traxxas used a similar setup with the rulon pegs. Odds are they used a common diameter to fit the spur gears of the era. If you end up running this and need replacement pegs for the slipper

I recently bought this truck. It was already a kickass Junior T, built from all new parts. For such a nice truck, it had crappy rusty ballstuds, pins, clips, and some hardware. I changed it all out with proper kit.
OK so I asked the guy (on phone as we are still on lockdown here in California) at my LHS- he said that the wheels I have are no longer made and tires are no longer avail- BUT if I wanted I should buy a new Traxxass or such- I said I believe that...

I had heard that this could be a Trinity purple motor plate for the XXT. I emailed Trinity and they confirmed it was. Pretty exciting as I have never seen one.
