Re: My Ultimate JRX2
Amazing!
Was that toe-in turnbuckle on the rear end packaged specifically for that use, or did you do that yourself? I've not seen that before.
The car looks great. I love the mix of white/light colored parts, not the usual scheme seen on the losi.
I think you mounted your pure-tech blocks inside out.

Really, really nice buggy there. Especially the rear suspension. Neat stuff. Not sure I like the alloy front arms, but the bulkhead is awesome. Excellent work!

Re: My Ultimate JRX2
awesome hopped up buggy there, i truly always loved hop ups for cars, always loved cars that were completely hopped up with all aftermarket parts, and this is a perfect example.
only thing i see original on this car are the antenna mount, rear bulkhead, chassis and steering? just awesome work. gotta appreciate a build like that.
i remember racing in the old days, i had 2 "racing" cars, a completely hopped up rc10 (that went through about 5 generational changes of hop up parts) and the damn thing always had problems with broken parts and such, and then a straight out of the box runner, and ill be damned if the ball stock car didnt run perfect everytime.....
the point of that was though is that its just a great feeling to be able to build a complete aftermarket parts car. total fun, and nice work again

Re: My Ultimate JRX2
looks awesome, jay. i guess you were unable to come up with a green fiberglass rear tower, huh? i think that's the car you wanted one for......
and you know what really makes this one special? it's your last losi build. well, x2's anyway.
some rc10's better be next.

My first post here and I have to say that this is one fine looking hybrid. I am a Losi man through and through and this is top notch.

Re: My Ultimate JRX2
What more can I say? Car looks really great, but where the hell did you finally manged to find the Robinson trailing arms? I REALLY need a set for my hopped-up x2! I will second Jason for your next build, or maybe you will go Traxxas now just to have us on your back for an additional year?

Re: My Ultimate JRX2
Hi MrL, that is one excellent car.
Can I request some shots of the rear arms with the wheels of so I can see how they attach to the hubs and work.
Also your front arms are made by Dialled Racing, though the bulkhead is a Corally.
cheers

Re: My Ultimate JRX2
Thanks for all the complements guys.
Anthony, that setup is per the directions provided with the Lunsford kit. I realized I did the install of the strap backwards, just wanted to get thing done and was lazy. It will never run anyway.
Mike, yep.... the rear bulkhead, chassis and steering are the only stock parts from the JRX2. I didn't want to go with a stock steering setup, but the color was the deciding factor.
Scr8p, no, not yet.... I only have one on the RPM-X2, it came with a TMS header card. Still looking though.
David, if I told ya I would have to kill ya.
I have tons of all different brands to resto/build and it was really whatever was closest to me. Just off the top of my head in close proximity of me, I have XX series, a Tamiya Hilux, a Tamiya Blazer, some RC10s and 10Ts, Ultima, Optima Mids, Bolink Off Road Series, etc., etc., etc. I think I am just going to open up a box and whatever is in there will be what I will do next.
Also, I need to get rid of a few things and will be popping some stuff on ebay this week. Just stuff I don't want to make time for.

Re: My Ultimate JRX2
I was only kidding. Scr8p actually found them on sheldon's store. It was funny, just because like 4 or 5 days earlier, I told him to keep an eye out for them, then BAM!, there they were. I wasn't home at the time and he picked them up for me. They are actually from Lunsford, not Robinson.
