My 2020 VONATs runners are almost ready for this years race. Still working on a RC10T as well. Plan on switching up between rounds and running the funnest ones to drive.
Well my friend and I decided to check out a semi local track, he invited 2 of his friends one of which brought these with.. after we raced them he offered them to me for $100..
Both in great shape, the XX was rtr with a...

long time no speak. Lots of RC as both my kids race with me now, both on- and off-road... we don't race that much, but the amount of prep/maintenance to keep >6 cars running (plus the bashers to goof around in the yard) especially when...

I love it!!!
Did you replace the battery box foam too, or was the existing foam still in good shape?
Not sure, but if it's new it's at least 10 years old anyway
we wont talk about what it cost to restore it 8) .. but this is my original truck i raced for several years until the xxx stuff came out .. best designed rc truck they ever made imo, it was a force to be reckoned with at my local track in its day...

yes im fortunate to have saved all my old plugs they were literally everywhere in boxes and old batteries etc .. got them all together, acetoned them pretty clean and replaced the contacts out of some newer orange ones i got ahold of for free...
I came across (what I'm assuming) is a MK1 motor plate in red. Does anybody know if they made them in red? Or have any other info on it?

Thanks for the info Lavigna. This quarantine has got me busing out my old XXT and rebuilding it. You and Jammin have inspired me to do a complete rebuild on it as a runner and build a shelf queen XXT CR G+. You have some top notch builds BTW... I'd...
Hello first time poster and still figuring out how to add/attach pics.... Anyhow I recently acquired an MIP 3 gear yellow transmission in a JRX-Pro. The case is rather faded/discolored, any suggestions for rejuvenation? Considering painting or...

Thanks guys! Ive decided to use it in a future JRX PRO build... Back to the LXT for now
After getting the itch to own the stadium truck from my youth that I never had, some research led me to this place and after reading a couple build threads I knew it had to be an XXT. Scooped this project truck off eBay last week and already have...

Thank you JB. And thanks to a member here I found a G+ chassis!
Hi,

updated with a Kinwald IFMAR wiring tribute :D (thank's for all this inspiration over years BK)
I couldn't decide if I wanted to start a new thread for this, or add to an existing one. Somehow I just ended up putting it here.
I've always wanted to check out one of these MIP transmissions, so with a little luck, I picked this one up at our...

Question about the timeline of this transmission: when was it available with respect to the Hydradrive? Would a Hydradrive have ever been used on this transmission, or is the MIP slipper simply superior/preferred?
hello
is this the correct slipper for a JrxPro? Looks like it’s missing some parts to me. Thoughts or help appreciated.

Hello Michael
It looks like you may have the correct trans input shaft for a slipper but no slipper???
My JRX Pro did not come with a slipper but I added one.
For a slipper kit this should be correct - losi a3110
I thought I give the youngtimer business a try and start a NIB Losi XX-4 build matching the look of Mike Truhe's car at the 2012 Reedy International Off-Road Race of Champions. I somehow like the final versions of older models e.g. like the 1997...

Nice! Now I am curious how good it looks underneath that body.
I just acquired a Losi XXX Vehicle from my neighbor. I'm not sure exactly which one it is and if its worth keeping. All I know is it came with a truck body but has buggy body posts, it is broken in the front, and every a-arm has RTR stamped on them....
I managed to get a decent example from for very little money just before Christmas. It came with a fibrelyte chassis and front shock mount, slipper, RPM bulkhead and lovely Yokomo Pink wing
Both taken from the ebay advert...

Whilst this thread is from looooooong ago I have a feeling that that JRX Pro was about 90% made from one I sold years ago.
But when I sold it it was a Pro SE and didn't have a box, but it definitely had a Fibre-Lyte chassis and the moulded pink...
Hey everyone, long time lurker here. Was looking for a donor truck for my old XXT CR so i could have some parts, but luck would have it i ended up with this beauty. NIB XXT CR, so now i still need a donor car for my old one, this is now going to be...
Hey guys -- working on an XX4 shelf build and could use some guidance. Trying to decide which shock and spring combo to use. I'm definitely partial to the black shock bodies with HG collars, but not sure about spring color. Orange is a nice contrast...
Last post
I agree with Lavigna about stock losi colors on the springs but think that blue is just too much blue. The more I look at it I like the orange for the contrast. I'm an Illini fan though so it just makes sense to me 8)
There used to be box art sticker sheets sold on eBay. I bought a silver based set and put it on and all black shell and it looks great. Any idea what happened to the seller or who it was? I'd like to do it again for my runner.

Second vote for MCI Racing, they are excellent quality and you can even change the colors around on the web site when ordering them.
Well, after collecting too many Tamiyas, a couple Kyoshos and a stack of RC10s, a Losi finally found a way into my garage courtesy of a good friend. Being totally new to Losi products I have a few questions to start. Losi buggies always touted...

I vote for JRX Pro. I am going to be starting my own JRX Pro build shortly as well.
At our little backyard track, we don't have shelf queens. If it is capable of running it will run. One of my old race buddies and Brother has an original XX that I am sure is just sitting on a shelf/box somewhere around his house. If parts are...

Most parts are available, except diff gears. They are a bit rare to come by, don't slip the diff. Stuff like the the bumpers that wear fast or front arms that break often, tend to be higher in price to replace.
Hi. This will be my second XXT CR Graphite Plus shelfer build. I also have a thread on my XXT CR Graphite Plus runner build. those threads can be found here:

Ok, so i have had my WetMag IV from new, and always presumed it was a 16Quin.... however looking at certain paperwork and vintage ads they were initially listed as a 16Quad.
Mine was opened up for the first time this week, for a rebuild, and it...

So if the vintage ads are correct, and yours is a 16x4, where is the discrepancy?
well first off won a good size lot of bru-line wheels so i thought this would be a little different look. well theirs plenty of rc10t's with skinny front wheels/tires, but u never see a jrxt with skinny front wheels/tires. i think it looks...
Love the LXT, my first contact with US offroaders two and a half decades ago (Still have two and probably two more in spare parts  )... always happy to see another one being brought back to life :D
I've just finished my XXX Kinwald restoration and got the body painted box art style.
It came out pretty nice-new chassis, new body and even a set of NIP kit correct wheels and tires.
I can't seem to find a good, clear photo of the...
Anyone know, was she a model, sister, girlfriend, Losi cheerleader? We need to get to bottom of this. And 2nd, I need this jacket.

I have a decal sheet for a Junior 2 in the same colours used in that ad.
I don't really know what to do with them-I paint all my cars box art and they certainly weren't a part of it.
And my car's already painted, too...
I'm getting ready to shoot a XXT body and want to get the red right.
I'll be using Faskolor, I'm torn between Fasred and the Fluro Red.
A mix of the two?
Thanks in advance!
Will be starting this restoration soon. Just waiting on a few more bits to come on through the mail. Really looking forward to this! Fitted body and Nerf Guards a couple days ago.
Finally going to start my LXT build. Mostly new parts including aftermarket parts. Just waiting for a couple items to get here and I can start. I had a nice used chassis to use then found this new one but it wasn't cheap.
Just resurrecting my XX and it seems my original Futaba S132 has finally given up. Just wondering what current servos are you guys using in your XXs? Thanks.
As found in my parent's attic, my JRXT I bought new with HS summer job money in '89 or '90. I did not use it much before other priorities kicked in. Since then a lot has changed, including acquiring 20+ years of experience as a mechanical engineer....

Looks to me like you just need a Diff Tube (A-3072) and a new 5mm x 8mm Bearing (A-6907) and you should be all set. www.sabulatech.com has both in stock.
Awesome, thanks! Got those ordered up, I’m excited to get this thing running again.
here is my collection of parts to build a JRX2. I'm looking for you Losi experts to look the parts over and tell me whats going to work and what isn't and what would be my best choice.

Andy has been painting up JRX2 bodies and I was lucky enough score a couple. I trimmed this one up to fit the flea market chassis. It was tricky to cut a painted body. I used the stock body as an over lay to mark the trim lines.
Early spring cleaning brought me here as I found my beloved Junior T- I've broken it down to sand and paint. Looking for suggestions
on mods power and electronics etc. Thanks for helping out a newbie. Attached are a few pics.

Sorry, but I don't really have an opinion on the 'tudes . I just try to manage my time efficiently, and follow happy wife, happy life . Its been working well for the last 15 years, anyway. I do wish I had more time, however.
Working on this for a customer. Figured what is good for the RC10GT guys should be good for the NXT crowd. No drilling the chassis, everything uses existing holes. Battery position has almost an inch of movement front to back. Still not loving that...
I'll post pics of my JRX-2 build as it goes.
Here are a couple shots of the parts.
In the mail is 1 rear axle and universal balls and 1 pair of Mip aluminum shock cartriges (to go on my truck so I can swap out the delrin ones to have both vehicles...
Hi everyone!
I would like to try to mount a B6 rear wing mount to a stock JRX2. First, is it possible? Second, if it is can I use the original shock tower? And is there a template available out there?
Thanks everyone!

Wouldn't this be a lot like putting a modern Chevrolet tailgate on an early 90's Ford truck?
Is it normal for JrxT rear springs to hit forward facing suspension link(top) when in action
Last post
your upper link is on upsidedown. note it has 3 ribs going front to rear. put the corner without the rib down and in to give more clearance.
probably not enough to correct for widely spaced shocks, but it does help.
It has been a while since I have posted up pictures of a build. I decided to dust off my old Street Weapon, 1st gen kit that has had very little use since I bought it when it was released.
I have what I believe to be XXCR. I don't know the history of the car as I inherited if from my wife's cousin after he passed. What are the differences between the XXCR and the Kinwald version?
