Team Associated debuted their second car in 1975, the 1/8th scale gas powered RC100. Featuring a more sculpted 3/16in. thick flat aluminum chassis the new base shared only the black powder coated crossbar front axle/steering assembly and other minor parts from the previous generation car. The adjustable rear motor mount and axle blocks were new, now machined from aluminum with a bearing supported rear axle. The use of plastic was more prevalent throughout the car as the material of choice for the new floating electronics tray with rubber band mounted battery and receiver as well as the new front bumper. Polycarbonate would be used for the bearing equipped front wheels while nylon was selected for the rears, both shod with foam tires. Front geometry adjustments were still limited to toe and tracking but the adjustable motor mount allowed the option to run different pinion sizes and powerplants from a multitude of manufacturers in displacements beyond the standard Veco .19 engine:
