Is the kyosho tracker an ultima based truck? gear box wise? etc...

If I remember right it's based on the outrage which is an entry level buggy that shares the supension and drivetrain with the Ultima. Pretty much all Ultima parts are interchangeable.

If you want more performance out of it then get the shock towers for the ultima. The are a lot stronger the tracker/outrage ones. You can almost bend the shock tower all the way over on the outrage/tracker. The outrage ultima chassis and upper plate would be a good fit also.
