which front end for oval?

Which front end would make a better handling dirt/carpet oval build, the DS or stock RC10, my thought was that the DS front end with less kick up would be a little "twicherier" and faster steering response, but would this be good or bad for oval racing? (i've never raced oval)

I always wanted to try using the champ long arms on the right and the early short arms on the left. I never owned a DS, are the rear arms shorter than the buggy arms? If they are I would use those on the left rear with the early short arms on the left front. This would shift the weight to the left side and if you have a "oval" offset chassis the weight would be almost in line with the left wheels.

I would steer clear of the ds stuff, not so much that it wont work (you will have better luck getting stock rc10 ce style front end to work better though) there just aren't as many options for tuning. if you want to run a stock car style body then I suggest getting some of the speedy's shock towers http://www.speedysracingparts.com/rc10.htm and running .35 length/tc3 shocks (this is providing you're on carpet or a hard clay oval, if it's a loose dirt oval you should run .56's all around)
other than that I would start with a 10 degree caster block on the left front and a 15 degree caster block on the right front. PM me if you need any setup help.
