T4.3 Front end chatter?
I've noticed that my T4.3 gets a lot of chatter/wheel hop around corners from the front wheels. It's really difficult to drive fast because of it, and makes the thing super inconsistent. I need some help sorting it out.
It's basically a box stock RTR, with 40 weight oil, and spring changes.
HALP!

I'm having a hard time picturing the issue you describe. Can you tell whats causing it? Is it from tires/traction/bumps/suspension slop/weight distribution? Does it happen more on throttle or off throttle?

I would say the tires are too hard and your also driving on a hard surface, neither are "giving", so the suspension/tires chatter when something finally does give.
The only time I noticed an insane amount of chatter was when running foam tires on carpet with a T4.

I've had this same issue when racing a XXXT on carpet. I've been advised to use heavier oil in the front shocks. If I ever get around to trying it, I'll let you know how it goes.

Re: T4.3 Front end chatter?
The B4/T4 was the last platform from AE to use forward-facing steering bellcranks - this means that on full throw, wheels chatter a lot more than rearward-facing ones due to all pivot points (almost) being aligned. As the car parts wear out (normal wear) it gets a lot worse... other than playing with ackermann settings and replacing plastics, i don't think you can do much about it

I noticed this with my T5M as well, but there is just alot of slop on the steering unfortunately. It is especially noticeable on the pavement versus the dirt.
