Any PS2 Techs in here???

Oh yeah, I have done the White Gear adjustments in both situations (reading silver only, and reading black only), and it makes NO difference to the "readability" of whichever doesnt read.

Did that make sense?

OK, I give up on this thing!!! So, Im gonna trade it in at Game Stop. They said I could get $10 credit for this one. Which should I get, Fat, or Slim?? I forgot what I read, but something got me to thinking the Fat Ones are a little better.

Opinions?

Get the slim PS2, you will be happier in the long run.

Speaking of dorky PS2 problems, here's one for ya: I've in Germany and using a German fat PS2 and GT4. The game works as expected EXCEPT I can't get the right analog stick to function as forward-brakes/backward-throttle.....? It'll let me do the opposite (backward-brake/forward-throttle) though. I haven't been able to figure this out at all. I started with a fresh memory card thinking it was some initial setup issue that I couldn't back track but that's not it. I tried asking on the playstation forums but I think they think I'm a moron because it *should* work the way I want it to even though it won't. Any ideas....? Thanks!!!!!
