Proper Lipo Displosal
I was having a great time sorting out a VONats car last night. Finally had most of the bugs worked out. When I removed the body to charge up the saddle Lipo, I was disturbed to see 1 of the cases bubbled up pretty good. I'm surprised that the shrunk shrink wrap was so stretchy. So the pack is done. What is the proper way to dispose of it? Chucking it in the garbage just doesn't seem right!
Thanks!
Brian

Re: Proper Lipo Displosal
From About.com:
After fully discharging the battery, place it outside in a covered container of salt water (keep away from pets and children) for several days (some sources suggest 2 weeks). Skip the discharging step and go straight to the salt water if the battery is ballooned or the covering torn. The discharged/soaked battery can now be placed into your household trash.
This is also what I have heard to do, but I could not have described it as well.

YES!! I'm looking forward to it.
Just leave the bucket of salt water at home.

Batteries Etc takes stuff for recycling. Now I don't know exactly what they do with them once they go behind the counter, I but assume I can take them for their word.
I am not here cause I am playing photographer and on my mountain bike.
