LIPO Q

Post by FasterLouder »

I'm using a 2S LIPO on my REVO,to power the radio and the Losi R.O.S.S. remote start system (which works great,BTW!).
Couldn't resist putting a Sumitt rear bumper with red LEDs in it and I'm wondering if I could power those LEDs by tapping into the balance plug on my rx/start LIPO?

Here's some pics, spent a lotta time and money on this yin.
The Vantage carbon chassis is a total work of art!

Love the lights. Couldn't you just power it with a 9v or something?

I know I could power 'em with a stand alone battery, but I want to keep the truck looking clean and light.

yes absolutely. balance plug is just wires running to each cell junction. pick two that give you the voltage you need and wire it up accordingly. just be aware if you leave them on for long periods (with LED's, like days or weeks, hah) you will unbalance the pack if you are not using all the cells.

Why don't you run the lights off your reciever?
That is if you have an xtra channel port.
