New guy!!
New guy!!
Hey all,
New to the forum but, know the RC-10 well. Sold off all my old Associated stuff years ago. Just picked up some chassis, and parts on eBay. Want to build a Dirt Modified car. Spent alot of my weekends racing and hopping-up RC-10's to go fast and turn left!!!
Got parts???

Welcome, Jake! Good to have another oval guy here.
You may also want to check out http://www.dirtoval.com , as we opened a new vintage forum with a classified section in it just recently, and have had a great response so far.

It's funny when I was a kid, all we wanted to do was go off road racing but, there where no tracks!! Now, all I want to do is go fast and turn left!!!

Nope, dirt oval racing is strong and getting stronger. There are more tracks up and running today than there have been in 15-odd years. It's a great thing to see. If you're lucky enough to live on the eastern coast (NY, PA, NC, etc.), there are TONS of tracks to race at. Some guys have 3 or 4 tracks within an hour's drive.
It's back, and getting bigger.

I live in NJ. Any tracks around?? I don't mind driving an hour or 2 to PA, or NY. There's a track in North Jersey called Dirt Runners but, I heard it's a loose dirt track. I kinda wanna get back on a blue groove track.Eau Rouge wrote:Nope, dirt oval racing is strong and getting stronger. There are more tracks up and running today than there have been in 15-odd years. RCUniverse has a pretty good track locator. Looked like Jersey has a few track (if they are still working). RCU lists one track where I live that is out of business. Has been for a little while now.
