help identify my gold pan

I just picked up a gold pan. I'm thinking it's a 1984 rc10 gold pan. It just needs front wheels, tires all 4, front shocks, body and a wing. here are some pics.

It's a little later than 84', maybe 86',it's what we refer to here as a caddilac car, because of AE's address at the time these ones were going out the door-the darker gold on the tub generally tells

Looks like a perfect fix'er upper

thanks for the pic I see the difference. so how do you tell it's the 80's model? from what I have heard it's the front shock tower and 6 gear tranny? is that right

From kits there were a few differences, slotcarrod has a new reference post in this area--

But they were all in the 80's, but as you got later into the 80's some minor parts and anodizing changes were made. Fundamentally they were all alike, just a few key differences

ok thank you very much. one more question.. where is a good place to get parts? (I know ebay) I can't find front shocks and front wheels

You can find them on the bay with patience, craigslist or the B/S/T here once you are approved
