help: b3/b4 tranny gear compatibility

I searched but came up with a big fail. So can anyone tell me if the innards of the b3 and b4 gear boxes are interchangeable - in part or whole? Thanks.

I think the idler and top shaft are compatible, but the diff is not.


update:

Just checked the manual and the only compatible part is the idler gear and bearings.

thanks. I was hoping I could use it for a x-factory conversion. Oh well, the search goes on.
