Re: painting ?
I like to pre cut, drill and sand all my bodies before painting. I have not done this yet but I was told by a pro painter, the best stuff to thin Faskolor is Windex, the blue stuff!rctenracer wrote:Do you cut out the body first? Also can you thin out faskolor with water?

Re: painting ?
The blue stuff will slightly tint whites and light colors. The best I have found is CLEAR window cleaner, like the Armor All Auto Glass cleaner...slotcarrod wrote:I like to pre cut, drill and sand all my bodies before painting. As for trimming, it's easier for painters to paint uncut bodies, but harder to trim them later accurately. As a painter, I would rather trim then paint my own stuff. If I am getting bodies from someone else, I won't touch it if it has been pre-trimmed.

Re: painting ?
I used water and did not have any problems with my airbrush. Kept the air pressure around 35.

Re: painting ?
I always pre trim every lexan shell I want to paint. That way you can check and re-check it fits to your chassis properly.
