restoration questions

Post by obsidian »

Hailz everyone,

I've been wondering what is a good oil to use on all the black hardware on the YZ10 to protect from rust.

Also, Would acetone harm the metal diff outdrives. I want to remove some residual CA glue a previous owner used to glue the diff rings to the outdrives. I know acetone will remove the CA Glue but I just want to make sure it will not harm the the metal or its black color.

Cheerz.

i use good old wd40 in a small container with a small artists paint brush to oil all the metal on my yokes. if it's blackand metal i give it a coat :)
i would of thought glue would come off metal easy.
