Re: Lazer ZX-S
Zxr is such a simple car to run and hardly anything goes wrong. Brilliant design and explains why it won the uk nationals and the euros plus made a couple of world A's as well. Good choice.

Re: Lazer ZX-S
I currently have ZX-5 front hub/castor blocks installed on the front of my ZX/R. I necessitates a longer front axle, but brings it to standard width for new rims etc. They come in several castor degrees, and are readily available. -Jeff

Re: Lazer ZX-S
Do you use the zx-5 universals too. Are they same outer dimensions for length and bearing size.

Re: Lazer ZX-S
They fit just use the 65.5 in the front. Thats what are in the picture and LAW-30 clamp on wheel hexes...the hexes are not nesecery but they look good ....for the rear you have to use the 62.5 bone and the LA231.02 axleSoncho Ponza wrote:Do you use the zx-5 universals too. Re: Lazer ZX-S
I am actually using an older kyosho axle, but you cat use the newer ZX-5 axles and bones if you want. This would also allow you to use clamping hexes, etc. -Jeff

Re: Lazer ZX-S
the only items the zxs shares with the zxr are the bearings, diffs, hyper clutch, layshaft gear not gears, wishbones, steering plastic bits, wheels and wing mount. The hubs come from the optima, zx5 (as these items were tested first on the zxs) and ultima rb5 rear hubs. The ujs can be found by finding the correct length from the lazer zx5, as they do eight different lengths.Soncho Ponza wrote:Does the S share the same belts as the R...
Great car on clay but im still working on new designs for high grip surfaces as well as lipo tray and better weight distribution. Im also testing a new diff design and is super smooth.
