What Losi truck is this?

Post by metallicats33 »

A guy at my work picked this up for me. only Losi I own is an LST2 so this is all new to me  What model is it? and how hard is it to find parts? Everything looks nice and good except for the broken support on the front of the chassis.

Thanks,
James

How hard do you think it will be to find that broken part in the first pic. Also, where could I find a .pdf of the manual?

Lowclasscc.net has the manual. There are tons of XX series parts on ebay, I bet clinehobbies or jsourbeck probably has the part you need.

The damaged part is a chassis brace, part# LOSA9900

However they are discontinued, so your going to have to dig for one.

The manual and explode can be found at vintagelosi.com.

Don't think lowclass has anything but setup sheet.

Oh and original part number is losa4110 for the chassis brace. The losa9900 is the graphite/composite version of the brace. Neither are available in stock but hopefully you can find one of them. Either will work fine.

I haven't checked out the front bulk throughly yet but it looked good when I last looked. I just need a brace in any condition as this is going to be a runner.
O, How hard would it be to change this into a buggy??? Trucks aren't really my thing

If I remember right...

Transmission, chassis, arms, both shock towers, turnbuckles, wheels/tires, shocks, body, wing/wing wire.

Pretty much you one keep the steering, rear T plate, hinge pins, front/rear bulkheads, gear cover and assorted hardware...

Seems like it would be easier to snag an old XX from the 'bay, they are still going for cheap.

yeah, theres one on the bay for a similar price. Vacation really hurt my wallet so I'm going to have to wait before I hunt down a good XX runner.
