Re: TURBO ULTIMA - My 1st non RC10 restore.
That looks outstanding, congratulations on a great build! Thanks for all the great pictures too. Ed, what body is that? A Hotshot? I must admit it's pretty cool

Looks good Mr. ED, but I am not sure I like it for this one. I am thinking of a body I would have run back in the day if I had this car.
I am really into the Tomahawk body now. if I don’t get one foe this car I am getting one for a second custom Ultima that I am collecting parts for and planning on building.
thanks.

I do remember this car now, nicely done! I would have never thought to even try this. I do happen to have enough spares to build another Ultima and an extra Hotshot body though....Mr. ED wrote:Hotshot indeed, here 's the thread with more pics: http://www.rc10talk.com/viewtopic.php?f=30&t=7080

A bit more stuff done to this guy. Added a battery brace to strap the battery in and I added some Ti RCPS links. I am waiting on some new Hinge pins because these are all loose to make everything new and tight.
I also got a repo Ultima Pro body for it last week so I am mounting it now.

Im also in a Ultima build up.
I just converted my Ultima to turbo spec. While i updated the chassis to a turbo one i thought i will weigh the 2 chassis and found the Turbo chassis to be 30g heavier i than measured the thickness of the 2 and the Turbo is 1mm thicker at 2.5mm compared to 1.5mm and the turbo is hard coated.

The car came together very well. I replace all hinge pins with new ones and I have a re-pro body and wing for it that I will be mounting this week, Can’t wait to get that done.
Thanks for all the comments.

Very nice car Miguel. I have been looking at these cars on eBay for a while now. I need to finish my other cars before I decide to build one of these though.
Awesome job and I can't wait to see the final pics of the car.

Finally got a body on this baby (it is a TBG repro), it wills probable stay clear for the moment like all my cars until it is time to run it. I will take better pics later outside in the sun.

Fantastic work! Did you already say how you're going to paint it? Maybe box art or retro late 80's?

It will probable stay clear for some time, I usually keep them clear until is time to run/race it. When the painting time comes up it will probable a late 80’s style.
Thanks for the comments; it was a cool project for me, something different from the Typical RC10. it feels solid now compare to when I got it last year.
