Front end I.D. help

Post by Kayne »

Won this on the bay with a decent looking A stamp chassis with some andy's rear arms.Got it all for 30 bucks. The front end looks cool.I haven't seen anything close to looking like except maybe a ds.Can anybody help with an i.d.I'm counting on Scr8p to know what it is.The right side shock mount is broken I want to fix this.So if anyone can help I would really appreciate it.If any body has the part I need I would gladly pay but my r/c budget is exhausted until next payday.

well...I was waiting for someone to call this one out on the front shock tower but no responses. I don't think its a front shocktower. I think it just happened to fit in the 2 holes used. is there more holes that line up? Looks like it is supposed to be a brace off of something else to me...kinda like the front end brace off of a traxxas hawk or something like that. Anyone else pickin up what I'm layin down? :?
Todd

p.s. also if scr8p doesn't know what it is and Al hasn't come up with a conclusion it must not be an rc10 shock tower

I get what you are saying. There are two extra small holes in the middle.you can see them in the picture. Does that help?

Cool at least I know what of is. I'm going to build another runner with it. I still need to find a bottom shock mount for the right side though.went on the mcallister website and they only sell bodies and stickers now.

Cool. didn't think it looked like a shocktower for the rc10 but didn't think it would've been what it was so thanx transamman :D

Kayne, put up a 'wanted' ad in the b.s.t area and someone will help you out. I did and had the few extra parts I needed within a week of posting it. Good luck with your search.

personally, i would just get a standard buggy tower and call yourself done, instead of looking for that mcallister lower shock mount. mainly because your missing the mcallister center shock mount, too. but i'll look through my stuff to see if i have the parts.
