so close yet so far

Post by treehugger »

so i have been into rc cars for a year and have been into the 10s for about as long as ive been hanging around here and along the way ive picked up alot of info concerning these little money pits and here is one of them bit by bit the hard way but i think its pretty early it has the Edinger shocks and a bunch of other nice bits and pieces but alas time to get rid so i thought i would post the car before it goes to the gavel hope you like it and if you see anything that isnt right please let me know i didn't put the bearings in the front wheels cos they technically wont be mine in 3 days

Very nice! When time and money allows, that's EXACTLY how I want to redo my gold pan. Right down to the anti-roll bars and wiper arm speed controller.

Nice car .Other than the missing parts. The only thing I see is the center bolt in the nose plate should be the shorter one. You are correct these can be money pits. You should have no problem selling it. nice car looks like it came out of the box.

It was time you show some Off-road RC10 cars Paul, that look clean.
Is this your only off-road RC10?

well after giving it some thought i will be keeping it i have been plowing through 100s of pages on the tec forum so haven't been doing much 10 stuff .
but after seeing rctenracer,s stunning pait job i think i would be pretty pissed in 6 months when im back to work and "WTF No RC10"
so i will be finishing the paint and last few things this week before i start touching my pan car and selling the tires for this was the wake up call

Looking good so far. Those aluminum rims would shine like chrome with a little bit of Mothers love.

Very nice RC10 resto. Those SEES rims look great. Like the way you did the front body mount . Wish I would have done the same on the front mount.
