Vintage Motor Question/Help

Post by mrlexan »

Does anyone have the knowledge, know how, and parts to make this classic whole again? I would like at the minimum the correct end bell, don't really care if it as the correct arm. Let me know. The can is just too cool to simply toss. Thanks, any help would be appreciated.

You could "toss" it my way... :D That would look awesome in my Delta.

Doug probably knows what endbell to use, though...

The can looks Kyosho-ish.

it is probably a three piece can motor similar to an old checkpoint motor. 3 piece meaning the bottom is machined aluminum, the can separate and probably aluminum enbell to i would hold on to it and doug probably will be able to tell you more.

It's a rebadged Kyosho can.

To put it together you want to find a Kyosho Le Mans 240S motor. It's a 19 turn single wind and the endbells are colour coded with the mounting plate.

I have that endbell and the roter too.

The endbell is red plastic with chromed metalware: got it in front of me.
Let me know if you want it.

The roter I can't send you: I know I have it , but I got no clue which one it is
The moter I had never worked well for some reason and I parted it out.

It's been prepared to use: original leads replaced (should still have them) and capacitors mounted. Tested, didn't work very well, replaced brushes, same, given up upon.
I can make a picture if you want.
