Hi from the uk

Post by Caine »

Hey guys newbie from the U.K here. I stumbled on this forum recently and have been browsing quite a bit so i thought i should join considering the amount of like minded people there are on here.
I've been into rc since age 12,i 'm 32 now and have only got back into the hobby in the past 3 years. I own several cars. Original hot shot, hong nor x1xcrt, sandscorcher re release, b stamped gold tub RC10, RC10T2, T4 and B4.1 ( as you can see i have a weakness for associated electrics :D
I have found a wealth of information already on this site and want to say thanks to all involved!
I'll see you all on the forum

Hey! Warm welcome from another Brit on here - i'm sure you'll enjoy it here & the members very helpfull 8) Just be warned - this hobby is addictive & expensive, but it sounds like you've already got the bug :D

P.S; @ Treehugger, I love Newquay too... really cool place, have been going there every year for the past ten - unfortunately I have seen it change.. it is starting to be spoilt by the Stag & Hen-do crowd :| I presume by your Avatar that your are/were from Cornwall?

yes i left good friends and good times there but once you have seen a drunk grown naked man cling wrapped to a lamp post it kinda changes you feelings for a place plus the cost of living was getting ridiculus it remined me of key west no body who lives there is from there the locals have had th place bought from under them

Cheers for the the warm welcome guys :D Yes the Forest of Dean is a lovely place to live and yes i have got the bug already! Both my cars only need minor parts but i'm already looking at a team car and a RC10T which have both eluded me for a while but i think i've found some good potential winter projects. Even then thou i think to myself " hmm i'd really love a 10T shelf queen with all white nylon then one with black for a runner!" Your right this could be terminal i haven't even finished my first 2 off yet!

Oh dear :( You'll find you'll be picking up projects much quicker that you can ever hope to finish the ones that you are working on... my advice is keep to the one marque that you know and have an interest for, my failing is that I like all the marques... Losi, Associated, Schumacher, Yokomo Tamiya etc etc
