Hey guys just got my first clodbuster (super clod chrome edition).
I wanna modify this beast but don't really know much. Ive heard there are mods that are a must.
Can someone give me some links to things like shocks, what kind of 4 link kit ect. on what to get?

yeah i went a little crazy with decals and stickers but the masking and paint part was a blast

100mm yeah racing shocks. about 10 bux a pair and are actually pretty nice.
i run a set of 80mm on my race clod.
lhs called me saying they had a few old rc cars i could have, that someone left in their store (perks of being the guy that has tons of old rc stuff no one else wants lol)

Thanks, yeah I've sold way too many of my clods. I only have one of the dozen I built over the years.... maybe I'll build another. Always been a fan of cantilever suspension, so if I see one I may have to grab it....
Well, the Clodbuster volcano in my head has finally exploded and I've decided it's finally time to try and get one. It will be a runner, I want something slower that I can run around my driveway without tearing up the driveway and have fun....

Do not use acetone on anything Tamiya. They are about 90% abs parts and will melt. I think maybe the only parts not abs are rod links for most models. The red or blue parts I think are also a nylon. Possibly a blend so don't chance it.

You can find reproduction grilles and tailgates on eBay for $22 each. Unfortunately they're not chrome. However somebody did a nice job with their 3D printer. While I know they're not THE sought after pieces, I think they look better than that 4x4x4...
