Re: Daddeo's A&L build!
what i'm telling you is that daddeo already has one, and he's trying to sell it in the bst. that would make me think that if he'd want to use one of those on his build, he'd use the one he already got instead of selling it.

I just found it in his post.scr8p wrote:what i'm telling you is that daddeo already has one, and he's trying to sell it in the bst. that would make me think that if he'd want to use one of those on his build, he'd use the one he already got instead of selling it.

Yeah, I just don't dig that extra long tower on the front
.
EvilAsh - Do you have any measurements of your shock tower? Maybe a picture of it next to a stock one?
Thanks guys!

The one I have is the same as the one you already have. Sorry, I thought I had something you could use. I got the one I have in a lot of other parts and don't think I'll use it.Daddeo wrote:Yeah, I just don't dig that extra long tower on the front.

Re: Daddeo's A&L build!
EvilAsh - No problem.
Another sleepless night lead the way to get a little more done. The motor plate looks huge and I might trim it down to flow better with the overall look.

The front end still needs quite a bit of work but it's still only in the "test fit" stage.

I assembled these beautiful MIP CVD's
. They fit very good despite looking like they were too long to me.

Still needing a front shock tower and a few other odds and ends. I was hoping to have it done last weekend but maybe this weekend will provide me with more to accomplish this, we shall see

Re: Daddeo's A&L build!
This is looking good, so are you planning or re-dyeing the parts purple, blue or what?
I don't mind the motor plate size. Any ideas on a body? I am not sure what I will use on mine yet.

All parts than can be dyed will be dyed black. I'm not sure about the motor-plate...just doesn't look right to me but I may leave as is. Body wise I was thinking using a Viper or maybe getting a Mirage from MrLexan is he has any
.
Thanks!

Thanks!
Re: Daddeo's A&L build!
Okay, I just couldn't get myself to like the front end that i had installed. No matter how many times I looked at it or from whatever angle it was still ugly to me. Then all of a sudden I remembered that buried deep in my hobby room was a T2 that was a parts truck I had used once before. So you can only imagine what came next
....
Enter the T2's front end:

I also used the shocks off of the truck and they look much better than the others. I also really like the T2 tower on the chassis now
. I still have to do a final cleaning and then final details so what you see now is just "test fitting".

It's profile looks kind of aggressive
!

Since this turn of events this build has become more interesting for me

Re: Daddeo's A&L build!
I like the gold nose plate if you cut some of the excess material.
The T2 nose looks cool but I think I would try to find some wider arms, like worlds fronts of the old RPM wide truck arms.
Any way looks good to me.

Re: Daddeo's A&L build!
I thought about that but trying to just use what I have on hand, keeping it cheap
.
Thanks!

Thanks!
Re: Daddeo's A&L build!
With everything that I have going on right now I needed a "escape" last night. I decided to paint up a Viper in the Team Moo race paint scheme.

As you can see it will take a good amount of trimming to get it to fit right but that's okay, it'll be fun
