Question about Thunder Tiger cvd's

Post by Scary Gary »

Hay all...Just wanted to run a thought by you guys. Has anyone used the thunder tiger bx cvds with B4 or B44 wheels. Would it work? I'm updating my rc10's to run 2.2 rims but want to use the original arms in the rear. Just want to keep them as original as I can. Don't want to use the Klein arms.

Thanks,

Should work.
The way Jeff and I race our RC10's is using all the stock nylon parts in the back with the B2-B3 universals (either AE or MIP CVD's) and in the stock outer hubs we use four 3/8 OD x 3/16 ID FLANGED bearings (cost is $1.00 ea) with the 3/16 shim washers and the Thunder Tiger wheels work just fine!

the TT cvd's are only slightly longer than a b3 cvd. so no, you can't use them with b4 rear rims. unless you want a super narrow rear track width.

Thanks for the info guys...I am going to place an order at tower for the thunder tiger cvds and wheels. I will post some pictures of them when I get them in and on the cars.

Just noticed that you said B4 wheels, and I may have missed that.
Notice that we use the Thunder Tiger rear Wheels, then it works just fine.
