HG VLT lexan shock bodies

Post by shodog »

I just got back from vacation and came across some sweet finds at a hobby shop. One of the things were some Hamman Gruman VLT damper bodies. I searched the forum and found that hoopty has a set and he called them crappy and Scr8p has a set but didn't say much ado about them.

Can I use stock associated internals to build them? I saw that the hobby shop had pistons for them but I wasn't going to pay the $20 list price for them.

as long as they're the associated vlt's, all of the associated internals will work.

Yes they state they are associated 1.32 and .71 bodies. I also pick up a set of 1.02 bodies cause I think I will put these on my worlds car.

here is a photo.

damn, you found 1.02's? :(

so, does that mean you won't be using the .71's?

very nice find.

i meant they were crappy in a performance type way, not an appearance type way. ;)

yep, they look sweet, I used a set on my RPM Ultra molded chassis, mine are Losi's... I just found that tightening the shock clamps just a little bit too much slightly hampers the travel of the piston because of the "soft" plastic, anyway, they look awesome 8)
