Sins I don’t own a RC10 yet, but hopefully I son do! I have a deal pending…

My question is about modern wheels (2.2) to the old gold pan RC10. When I looking on eBay I find wheels to the B4 and B44 to a reasonable price, but do they fit the older RC10?

They do not fit. There is a good thread about fitting new tires on the old gold pans in the tech section. I order rims on ebay and will update this post with the link, don't have it off hand. This is the easiest way to fit new tires to the old axles.

I recently came upon an original gold pan RC10 for $140. Is this a good deal?

It has all the arms, a rebuilt transmission, shocks (seller told me that they leaked), and a good differential.

Hi, I would advise against converting to rere wheels as its really a bottomless pit of cash and they have issues. It is way easier/cheaper to get JC racing wheels.

I picked up this gold pan earlier in the year. I got some old school proline wheels with it and the tires are wearing out quickly. I need to find a commonly available tire/wheel combo for dirt. Which wheels/tires do you all run for playing around?

Also, there is a decent chance that there are tires available that will fit your current wheels. With all the re-re's on the market, I suspect that something is usable.

You'd just need to get your old tires off and get some measurements. I like...

As the topic asks, I have a gold pan buggy runner, and need some wheels and tires for it. I like the B4 wheels...Does anyone know if they will fit on correctly? If not, will B2 and B3 wheels fit? Thanks for any help. Mike

Use the Associated 7222 front axles with B4 front wheels:

... LXKYT2&P=7

You'll need the 6221 inline steering blocks for these axles....

Per a suggestion on this forum I purchased some Jconcepts mono 2.2 rear wheels (JCO3404W), and some Jconcepts JCO3403W rear wheels. Both are pictured. Neither fit out of the box. I realized that I need the 3/16x3/8 bearing for the front, my original...

What I've done instead of buying a whole set of 3/16 CVDs is just swap out the 1/4 axle with a 3/16 and reuse the rest of the 1/4 cvd parts.

i understand how to convert the rear to 2.2s with 3/16 axles. my question is what do i do in the front do i change bearings in the front to accommodate 2.2 rims or spindles i could use some good advice on this one thank you. :?:

B4 front wheels use 2 for each wheel - unflanged size 3/16 x 3/8. I tried both old rc10 axel versions and it's fine.

now that i'm bashing my old gold pan again after a BL/lipo/DSM conversion, the 25 year old bolink foamies i've had on there since back in the day are getting used up quickly. Anyone recommend something to use for street bashing when these are gone?...

I'll 2nd the dirt hawg 2.2's, here's a rear tire photo :D Keep in mind the fronts will be OK on a narrow front rim, but it's more ideal if you use a team wide front 2.2 rim since it's a pretty tall tire in general.
