I remember reading somewhere that offroad winds were tailored for more bottom end torque where onroad winds were made for higher rpm for top speed.
This can still be accomplished to some degree by adjusting the timing on the motor. Zero timing for most torque and advanced for higher rpm
well as you guys know I have been looking for a team checkpoint motor for awhile
i have a can but no endbell or arm,
with a number of attempt's to get one here and off ebay i THINK i got one
but here is the question for the owners of these motors....

They should just be standard slot car springs. Group 12 and up.

The second one a very rare BoLink Checkpoint motor, but not the typical 05 motor. Did you ever hear of a 380 size modified...

Your Checkpoint Yokomo motor looks great and is very rare. But if it's me I would replace the endbell with a correct Yokomo endbell, even when I like that Le Mans.
