food poisoning

Post by badhoopty »

i think i ate some shrimp last night that got the best of me...

needless to say i called in sick and have been feeling like a damn alien is inside me wanting to get out. it seems i'm good for about 15 minutes or so then its bubble bubble gurgle gurgle, clentch the sphinchter and make a b line for the toilet. ;)

this is only the second time i've had food poisoning, and at least this time isnt as severe as the first... the first time it all elected to come out the same way it went in, and then afterwards i had the most painfull damn dry-heaves i could imagine.

i dont like it.

Hmm, sounds like fun! Why don't you share a little of that shrimp with the rest of us?

Bummer Dude, I know how it is to have the "clenched" feeling. What really sucks is that even when you're "done" it still feels like you got more business to take care of.

The wife and I try to eat healthy, into organic stuff and such, anyway..... eating anything with Cilantro helps with food poisoning, if of course you can keep it down.
I am not here cause I am playing photographer and on my mountain bike.

Funny you mention health foods. I don't get sick until I eat something healthy.

Sorry to hear of your ill feeling Hoop. I can say I have never had the poisoning so I don't know how you feel. I have had the occasional stomach virus that gives you the raging Mongolian sh#ts, but never food poisoning (not that my wife ain't trying).

what sucks is i cant help but feel that everybody at work thinks i'm just playing hookie. so not only do i feel bad, but i feel guilty about not going to work for some whacky reason.

i had violent food poisoning a couple years ago at the indy500. penske was my client at the time and i had access to everything...

i ended up staying in my hotel room the entire day with the most painfull nausea i could ever imagine. i had my appendix start to rupture back when i was in high school, and the pain was similar to that. stabbing pains every once in-awhile in my gut, followed by immediate nausea.

it was also the year sam hornish won on the last lap, and go figure the race wasnt televised in indianapolis...

My appendix was ruptured for 3 days before I went to the hospital back in '93 so I can relate to THAT pain :D

i ate scallops (shell fish) on the first night of my honeymoon and got poisoned. romance was dead that night i tell you all. it wasn't the sound of love in the air. it was a measure of her love for me to not divorce me for what i did in the marital bed that night  .

Have you seen a doctor? I thought my ruptured appendix was a really bad stomach virus. Doc said one more day at home and I would not have made it to the hospital. Not trying to scare you or anything, but if you think you got something other than food poisoning, I'd go to a hospital.
